摘要：本翻译报告的原文选自《超跑中的科学:世界顶级跑车背后的工业科技》的前四章,该书主要讲述了推动超跑发展的科技革命,包含了从早期的机械增压器到当代的复杂机器技术,并且着重描写了经由尖端科学打造的工程杰作。翻译这部作品可以让中国读者更全面地了解超跑的科技发展史,并能为国内汽车研究学者和超跑车迷提供最新的参考资料。作为一本超跑书籍,本书介绍了大量汽车科技和推动了车型革命的重大历史性事件。因此,译者需要在翻译过程中仔细感知原文背后所传递的信息,并将原文作者所构建的认知世界完整、准确地呈现给目标语读者。相较于其他翻译理论,功能对等理论注重对源语信息的“忠实”,强调以最切近、自然的形式从语义到文本再现源语信息,符合科技文本措辞严谨、描述客观的特点。本翻译报告在功能对等理论的指导下,试图从术语层面、句法层面和篇章层面解决翻译中的重难点:在术语层面上,解决特定语境中常用词汇专业化,术语的合成、缩略及译名统一等难点,运用了例如意译、音译和词性转换等方法实现词汇对等;在句法层面上,基于英汉的语言差异,解决长句和被动句的翻译及句序转换等难点,运用了像分译、增译等方法实现句法对等;在篇章层面上,作者对篇章长句间的复杂逻辑关系进行梳理,并试图解决连词、逻辑词的选择难点,采用了标注主题句,增加连接词和逻辑词的方法实现篇章对等。本报告由五部分组成:第一章为任务介绍,主要内容是跑车背景知识、报告研究目的、重要性和整体结构。第二章为过程描述,主要分译前准备,译中处理和译后校对三个阶段。第三章为理论基础,主要介绍了功能对等理论并探讨了该理论在科技文本中的应用和对实践的指导意义。第四章为案例研究,通过术语、句法、篇章的三层次分析,总结出了汽车文本的实用翻译方法。第五章总结了译者本次实践的经验感悟,并就如何提升翻译能力给出了相关建议。
