一、关注“层次性”弹性作业

新课程标准突出以学生为主体的教育思想, 尊重学生的个体差异。“一切为了学生, 为了学生的一切”是新课程标准的出发点和归宿。在教学过程中, 教师在布置作业时, 也应遵循因材施教的原则, 根据学生的个体差异, 水平的高低, 布置难度不同的作业, 让学生根据自己的实际情况选择要做哪个层次的作业。但如果教师硬性规定往往会伤害学生的自尊心, 挫伤他们的学习积极性。

在学习完高中英语模块6 Unit1 Putting on a play后, 我布置三个层次的不同作业

A.小组合作分角色朗读课文。

B.小组合作分角色朗读, 并表演对话。 (要求学生自做道具并注意表演的表情到位) 。

C.小组合作自编自演英语生活剧。

这种作业源于教材, 又高于教材, 新颖有趣, 能开发和利用课程资源。同时教师要相信学生能认识自我, 在各自原有的基础上各有收获, 体会到成功的喜悦。这样能使优等生“吃得好”, 中差生“吃得饱”, 后进生“吃得了”, 具有人本化和弹性化。这样在做作业的过程中, 既能培养学生的小组合作及沟通能力, 又找到了运用所学知识的乐趣。

二、凸显“趣味性”活动作业

1. 表演 (Performance) 使学生“动”有趣味。

夸美纽斯说过:“兴趣是创造一个欢乐而光明的教学环境的主要途径之一。”因此, 教师在设计作业时, 不仅要考虑教学的需要, 还要充分考虑学生好奇求新的心理特征, 善于挖掘语言教学中的“趣”, 努力提高作业的趣味性, 这样才能牵动学生的注意力, 唤发学生内心强烈的学习需要。如Duty Report环节中, 让每天值日的2名学生或邀请同学自编自导自演英语对话或英语小品。

在教完牛津高中英语模块1School life in the UK后, 学生本来对大学生活很向往, 可以让他们上网查找自己理想大学的有关信息并介绍自己想象中的大学生活, 这样学生既树立了远大的学习目标又了解了知识, 而且能运用所学知识来进行创造性学习。

2. 手工设计 (manual design) , 使学生“动”享受成功。

新课程标准要求学生在“动中学、学中动、做中学”的有机结合。因此在课后适当设计些手工制作的内容不失为一种好办法。学生边做边学, 把复习和强化所学知识的机械学习变为有意义的学习, 激发学生的学习热情和自身潜能。如在教完Task Reporting School Activities后, 可让同学自己制作学校学生会“Notice”和班级课程表的小卡片;可利用Module 8 Unit 3Project让同学利用绳、垃圾等材料来制作Unusual Pictures。

3. 调查 (Survey) , 使学生“动”有所思。

活动不应该仅限于课堂教学, 而要延伸到课堂之外的学习和生活中去。牛津高中英语教材设计的话题贴近学生生活实际, 而且新课程理念之一是让学习内容与学生的生活实际紧密联系, 引导学生关注社会, 参与社会实践, 为此教师也要布置一些与学生生活或实践紧密结合的作业, 让学生体会学有所用的乐趣。

4. 创作 (creation) , 使学生“动”展个性。

新课程指导互动式课堂教学模式, 提倡开放及小组合作的学习方式, 鼓励学生创造性地使用语言。高中英语教材每单元的project就是让同学间合作学习后能创造性地运用语言知识来展示个性。

5. 网上冲浪, 使学生“动”有所得。

在信息时代的今天, 学生接触英语学习的途径很多, 而且高中英语尤其是模块八、九、十的内容话题涉入面广, 文化底蕴深, 就必须通过畅游网络获得更多的课外资源和课文背景信息, 用于补充和理解课文内容。教师可以帮助学生适当延伸书本知识, 激发学生热情, 启迪思维。

三、抓准“灵活性”特殊作业

英语学习是一门实践性很强的学科, 记忆量也很大, 而在学生的学习过程中, 记忆单词始终是一道难关, 再者“根深蒂固”的记忆错误会不断复现, 学生觉得会的还是会的, 不会的再怎么背也还是不会。因此为了把知识点落实到实处, 我让学生们完成这个特殊作业:学生准备一个词汇本, 在词汇本上给每个单词编号, 并让他们动手查字典, 注意音、形、义和用法, 以便查阅。对于读到的优美句子可以摘抄并加以背诵或模仿。有利于高考英语写作水平的提高。对于那些典型的错句, 也要记录在这“特殊”的作业本里, 并要不间断地复习直到完全明白。要知道学习的过程就是不断纠正错误、减少错误的过程。这样的作业没有时间和任务限制, 学生的自由空间很大, 这样长期坚持下来, 能培养学生坚持不懈的精神和良好的积累习惯, 又能扩大其词汇量。

总之, 教师要用一颗包容的心来容纳学生的差异, 用一种发展的眼光来看待学生的学业成长, 用一种开放的心态来设置课外作业, 关注教学过程中的“动态”生成, 采用对学生多元化的评价方式, 让作业成为学生学习的动力, 让作业成为学生保持浓厚的学习兴趣和体会学习快乐的源泉。

摘要:在目前的高中英语教学中, 作业的布置存在种种问题, 比如, 作业内容大量重复, 很少考虑学生的个体差异;作业形式简单机械, 缺乏弹性;作业的内容脱离学生生活实际, 不能给学生提供创造和自主的空间。笔者从关注“层次性”弹性作业、凸显“趣味性”活动作业、抓准“灵活性”特殊作业等三个方面进行了探析, 以便与同仁们商榷。

创新暑假作业的布置和检查提高作业的针对性和实效性

学年结束,为学生布臵暑假作业成了教师放假前的最后一课。往年暑假,教师都会发给学生几本全市统一的暑假作业,要求学生放假不忘身份,不忘学习,下学期开学的第一件事就是收暑假作业,可收上来的作业,老师只能是翻翻,看看做完了没有,至于做的质量如何,大多无法保证。不是老师不愿改,只是开学初事情繁多,既要填写各种计划、表格,又要备新课,上新课,批改新课作业、试卷等等,加之学生已经开始学习新知识,集中评讲又耗时太多,影响教学进度。长期以来的这种暑假作业的布臵和检查方式,已经不能调动学生的积极性和主动性,甚至导致暑假作业大量抄袭,严重影响了班风和学风,对学生的成长极为不利。大多数教师和学生都认为传统的所有学生同一本作业,既忽视了学生基础和个性的差异,导致优生吃不饱,中等生吃不好,后进生吃不了,加之开学后缺乏有效的检查反馈,以至于暑假作业抄袭成风,质量低劣,又浪费了学生宝贵的时间,养成了不良的习气。鉴于以上实际,笔者对暑假作业的布臵和检查进行大胆尝试,采取暑假作业分层布臵、到校报到入学考试、教师认真批改反馈等一系列措施,提高暑假作业的针对性和实效性。教师根据学生期末成绩和平时表现,将学生分为不同层次,分层布臵假期作业,做到针对性强。优生以能力培养、奥赛训练为主,中等生以巩固“双基”为主,兼顾能力培养,后进生则以书本知识的掌握和简单运用为主,作业主要是课后习题。假期结束,学生报到的第一天,组织开展入学考试,对学生假期学习情况进行检查。试题均以布臵的作业内容为主,兼顾各个层面。教师对回收的假期作业采取学生互改、集中评讲、个别辅导等方式加以落实,并对集中和突出的问题,在评讲的基础上抓好反馈,真正提高暑假作业的针对性和实效性。

作业稍作调整,详细情况如下:

一。阅读放假前分发给大家的阅读版报纸,划出不会翻译的句子和优美的句子。从每张报纸上选出至少10个优美句子和一篇文章摘抄到本子上,背诵后默写一遍,并批改订正。

二。背诵八年级上册课本10个单元的单词(可以参考暑假自主学习课程表的安排),听录音熟读每个单词后,把每个单词抄写三遍(带词性),听写一遍,批改之后把错误单词订正三遍,然后再听写一遍错误的单词,如果还有错误请继续背诵,听写,批改,订正直至掌握全部单词(凡是第一遍听写错误的单词请把错误单词的汉语意思按顺序抄写到纠错本上,以备将来翻看).三。八上课本共有10个单元。每单元Section A 2d英语对话, Grammar Focus重点句型和Section B 文章抄一遍,默写一遍,批改后错误之处订正三遍,并把默写错误的句子抄写到纠错本上。请认真背诵默写直至掌握全部并完成课本上的题

四。部分已经听读完七年级典范英语书的同学可以听读八年级典范书,其余同学先听读完典七再听读八年级典范英语书。八年级典范书自行购买。每本典范英语书都要先听三遍,读三遍,并把书后的单词汉语意思标注到书内相应的单词下面。从每本书摘选15个单词,15个句子,背诵后听写一遍,批改订正,并用英语写一篇故事梗概,不少于100字。

五.把八年级蓝皮系列的完形填空和阅读理解专练做完,做题时标划出不认识的单词和不会翻译的句子。自己对照答案批改,不理解的错题可参看答案解析。

五。英语课本中英语文章的汉语意思和知识点讲解可参考八上红皮《英语教材全解》,把《英语教材全解》书中每单元整理出来的重点短语和句型抄写一遍听写一遍,并批改订正。选做与课本教材配套的《五·三》或《轻巧夺冠》等练习题,也可选做《45套》中招试题的阅读理解题。

六。至少学唱五首英文歌曲,欣赏五部经典英语电影并写下观后感,可中英文交替写,全英文更好。

请大家至少准备三个本。一个本用来抄写,默写,听写,批改订正。一个本用来摘抄报纸,典范课本,习题资料等书籍上的优美单词和句子。还有一个错题本用来整理暑假期间自己写错的单词,句子和习题。
