目前,以就业为导向的中职教育注重动手能力,但却忽视表达能力的培养。许多学生练得一身好本领,但是在与人沟通方面却存在很多问题,突出表现在课堂上回答问题时声音小、表达不清楚、逻辑混乱,个别学生甚至不敢出声说话。为提高学生语文素养、锻炼其口语能力、建设开放而又有活力的语文课堂,笔者将课前3分钟演讲作为一种教学组织形式引入中职语文课堂。
1演讲的作用
1.1锻炼学生胆量
笔者曾经问过很多学生在进中职学校以前有没有上讲台当着全班同学的面讲话的经历,大部分人说没有,而且表示自己以前是一个不爱说话的人。现在,有了课前3分钟演讲,很多学生有了上台说话的机会。虽然第一次上台时他们手足无措、语无伦次,甚至不敢抬头直视他人,但是在第二次、第三次演讲之后,学生都有不同程度的进步。更令人惊喜的是,有些学生从开始时的低头默读到后来能与他人互动。
1.2活跃课堂气氛,激发学生学习兴趣
每次课前演讲学生都很踊跃,短短的3分钟演讲极大地活跃了课堂气氛,激发了学生学习兴趣。为了能得到大家的赞扬,演讲者在课余时间做了大量功课,表现欲在课堂上得到了满足,课堂上多了掌声,学生情绪被调动起来。在接下来的课堂教学中,学生继续保持高昂的情绪,对教师提出的问题也积极思考、畅所欲言,课堂上师生互动大大加强。活跃的气氛延续到整节课结束,教师不再苦恼于课堂沉闷,不用再苦思如何调动学生积极性。
1.3增加阅读量,提高写作水平
学生为了做好演讲,课余时间不断翻阅各种资料,随着涉猎范围的扩大,他们的阅读量不断增加,无形中也积累了写作素材。很多学生为了能顺利演讲,课下还精心组织演讲稿,反复修改,锻炼了写作能力。
2实施方法
2.1演讲顺序
演讲一般按座位顺序进行,从第一位学生到最后一位学生,笔者本着“一个都不能少、人人都有份”的原则,想方设法让每一位学生都参与到课前3分钟演讲中来。演讲一般控制在3分钟以内,要求尽量脱稿,声音洪亮,配合手势,富有感染力,可以与其他学生互动。
2.2演讲内容
演讲内容不设限制,只要健康即可。学生可以讲故事、诵美文、讲述生活中发生的小事、点评时事热点,也可以畅谈人生感悟。
2.3演讲点评
每位学生演讲结束后,教师和其他学生都要及时点评,先让学生做观察员进行点评,然后教师再做点评。点评以鼓励赞扬为主,辅以中肯的改进意见,让学生不断进步。这样循序渐进,教师的要求一次比一次高,学生的表现也会一次比一次优秀。
3体会
3.1转变教学观念
学生是教学主体,教师处于主导地位。以往的灌输式教学让学生感到厌烦。语文教学中,学生应该始终处于主动参与、乐于其中状态。课前3分钟演讲为整堂语文课注入了活力,学生的表达欲被释放,思维的火花被点燃,课堂教学变得轻而易举且富有成效。
3.2循序渐进
中职生基础普遍比较薄弱,口语表达能力欠佳。刚开始演讲时,教师的要求一定不能太高。“要我说—我要说—我能说”是笔者的思路,即先鼓励学生克服胆怯心理,开口说话;接着促使学生主动要求演讲,积极参与其中,体会到演讲的乐趣;最后掌握演讲技巧,逐渐提升口语表达能力。笔者把这3个阶段融入一年的语文课程来推进,连续性的训练使教学效果更好。
3.3创新课前3分钟表现形式
课前演讲的目的是提高学生口语表达能力,但是演讲并不是唯一能提高这一能力的方式。从一开始,笔者就鼓励学生发挥创造性思维,采用多种形式展示自己,如演讲、说相声、演小品、讲故事,或者与他人合作完成一个语言作品。灵活的形式让学生更加努力地为每一次上台做准备,也更加期待自己一次比一次精彩的表现。

笔者重视每个课前5分钟的效用，强化设计，注重在听、说、读、写能力上下功夫，开展了多种形式的活动，并做了以下有效的尝试。
一、海纳百川，因聚而成其大
1.新闻播报，限字归纳
其一，学生可以把自己从电视上或报纸上看到的重大时事或热点新闻向全班同学报道，也可以向大家介绍自己听来的奇闻轶事。总之，社会生活中一切有价值、有意义的人、事、物均可以作为报道的内容。
其二，在座的“听众”绝不是无事可做，在听完同学的播报之后要用最少的文字把新闻加以归纳陈述。过程中学生可以抢答，但须用最简洁的文字进行表述。
2.积累交流，互通有无
笔者为了引导学生积累，鼓励学生将自己的积累成果与其他同学交流。例如可以很自豪地面对全班同学背诵或朗读一段自己课外积累的精彩片段或名人名言，当然也可以再谈谈自己对这段文字的“粗浅”理解或感悟等。
3.自卖自夸，自得其乐
当代中职生应当紧随时代的脚步，感知时代的脉搏，引领时代的潮流，积极走向社会，从一个学生向“社会人”的角色转变。为此，短暂的5分钟可以让学生模拟一场小型的产品推销会。学生可以拿自己使用过的比较有效的商品或弃置不用的东西做个广告。无论推销成功与否，学生都会有难以言说的“收获”。
二、细水长流，因疏而成其远
这5分钟的效应难在坚持，贵在创新。舞台虽小却能容纳生活百态，包罗人世万象，不仅影响学生的专业成长，还会对学生身心健康产生长远的积极作用。
为保障课前5分钟能够长期开展并收获成效，笔者在实施之初就开始对每一天的内容进行记录。整个学期共统计100篇日记，并且特意对男女生分开统计。从中不难得出，男女生在活动内容的选择上还是有较大差别的，既有各自的特长，又能见到彼此的短板。
男生表现得更加大胆，内容与形式选择上不拘一格，教师可以借机引导他们利用好班级现有的相关报刊，做到既“读圣贤书”，又“行万里路”。而他们的软肋是懒得主动去识记一些言论与文字语段，教师在教学中则可以多让他们整体诵读赏析，更多地让他们动笔去表达、记录生活中的趣事与感悟。
而女生则表现出更关心自己内心的世界，多会抒写内心的真情实感。语文老师要关注她们课外的阅读情况，引导她们关注和阅读一些经典作品，平时多练笔，除关注内心的自己外，还要多关心社会，贴近现实的生活。
扬长避短，因势利导，不管从功利的角度，还是从自身发展的角度，语文老师都可以就这5分钟发出的信号，大作文章，大有作为。
三、冰冻三尺，因持而成其厚
课前5分钟，给学生们带来了欢声笑语；课前5分钟，给了他们证明自己，展现自己的机会；课前5分钟，给了他们相互沟通与心灵踫撞的平台。从总结中，笔者更多地看到了不足，去改进，从而持续有效地做下去。
1.机会均等，共同参与
很多情况下，语文课被优等生“垄断”，基础较差的学生只有做听众的份。经常发言的学生越说越想说，越说越会说，他们因得到锻炼而获得发展；相反，另一部分学习成绩一般和较差的学生因缺乏锻炼，错过了发展的机会。课前5分钟面向的是班内所有的学生，不管学生成绩和基础如何，其参与的机会都是均等的。
2.因势利导，分享成功
学生自尊心强，渴望受到鼓励。所以教师在点评时，一定要发挥评价的激励作用，关注学生的发展和进步。笔者非常注意发掘学生的闪光点，并且把它加以“放大”，让展示者获得精神上的支持和情感上的满足。除了鼓励之外，还要对学生课外实践活动进行引导，让每一个学生都体验成功，这对学生的发展非常重要。
通过课前5分钟这座桥梁，学生们可互相倾吐心声，畅谈志趣，各抒己见，针对共同话题求同存异，使原本陌生的学生互相了解，不仅增进友谊，还活跃了班级气氛。

中职学校英语教师经常会听到这样的抱怨：“英语题太难了，我根本读不懂，答案都是蒙的”。“学英语真没劲，一点进步都没有”。学生所抱怨的情况确实客观存在，究其原因，是这些学生根本没抓住学习英语的关键——阅读。因为英语是一门外语，学生缺乏学习这种语言的环境，阅读成为主要输入途径，是其它技能的基础。而英语阅读属于跨文化的交际活动，除语言因素外，它还受到中、西方文化差异因素的影响，因此学英语不同于学语文或其它学科，学生没有一种文化基础，如果学生连文章都看不懂，谈其它的技能都是徒然的。因此，“看不懂”是大多数学生在英语学习方面亟待解决的瓶颈问题。
下面分析学生在学习英语的过程中所存在的问题，探讨如何有针对性地指导学生阅读。
一、词汇量
对大多数学生来说，“读不懂”是因为生词太多。因此记忆单词是首要任务，教师可从以下几个方面入手，扫除学生英语阅读中的第一道障碍。
1.零碎记忆法。如果要求学生一下子记很多单词，那必然会贪多嚼不烂，最好的方法就是指导他们利用零碎时间分散记忆，这样既省时省力，记忆的效果又好。比如，指导学生早晨起床后记5个单词，早读课前记5个，早读课下课前记5个，第二和第三节课课间记5个，中午放学后记5个，下午放学后记5个，晚自修课前记5个，晚自修后记5个，这样一天下来可记40个左右的单词。
2.朗读和阅读重现记忆法。就像我们小时候是在不断的听说中不断地纠正发音学会讲话一样，我们同样可以不断的听、说、读，利用声音记忆单词。著名的疯狂英语创始人李阳老师疯狂的名言之一就是：喊出一口流利的英语。李阳老师还说过，成功的人就是重复次数最多的人。记单词也一样，单词是否记得住不在于一次背了多少时间，而在于它重现了多少次。因此，教师要求学生对单词，课文在理解的基础上反复朗读，背诵，直到脱口而出。
3.利用语境和文化确切理解词义。语言扎根于现实的土壤中，是对现实生活及文化的反应，同样，词汇也不能脱离它赖以生存的文化。比如英国具有深厚的海洋文化，这种文化也体现在它的词汇中，从“fish”一词在英语中的活跃程度可见一斑：a cold fish（冷漠的人）；a big fish in a little pond （小地方的大人物）。而且，英语的词汇量大，词的含义也非常丰富。要把握词的确切含义，必须把它放在不同的语境中去理解。比如，一个简简单单的形容词sharp 在不同的语境中便有很多种不同的含义。a sharp knife（锋利的刀子）； a sharp mind（敏锐的思维）；a sharp rebuke（严厉的训斥） ； a sharp taste（辛辣的味道 ）。因此，单纯靠记忆单词不是扩大词汇量的最佳选择。在教学中，教师应尽量通过多渠道渗透英美文化，并指导学生在句子和文章的语境中去理解单词的确切含义，从而更好地扩大词汇量。
二、文化
很多的时候，仅仅理解文章的字面含义是不够的，近几年试题注重考查句子和文章的深层理解。而要做到这一点，取决于学生是不是有相应的背景知识。如：社交礼仪、民族特色、传统节日、禁忌幽默、还会涉及英语国家的历史、地理、社会、人文和生活方式等方面。因此，教师必须帮助学生了解世界和中西方文化的差异，拓展视野。
1.利用课堂教学渗透背景知识。在英语教学中教师要充分利用现代教育技术有目的地进行文化导入，在教学课文的同时，介绍一下相关的文化背景知识，使学生在学习英语的过程中了解外国文化，特别是英语国家文化，不断拓展文化视野，加深对本民族文化的理解，发展跨文化交际的意识和能力。如：在教Enjoying novels 时，教师不但可以利用网络给学生展示了小说的作者简.奥斯汀、勃朗特三姐妹以及她们的代表作，而且可以利用音像播放了电影《傲慢与偏见》和《飘》。
2.多渠道让学生理解和掌握一定的习语。习语是语言和文化的精华，它经过千锤百炼，沉淀了厚重的英美文化。因此在教学的过程中教师要有意识地渗透英语习语，首先，我们可以通过让学生理解习语产生的背景去理解习语的含义。如：在学习词汇 rain cats and dogs（下倾盆大雨） the eleventh hour （重大事件即将发生前的最后一刻时），给学生讲明它们背后的典故，在拓展学生知识面的同时，也培养了他们学习英语的兴趣。
三、阅读习惯和阅读技巧
实践证明，学生阅读速度和准确度的还取决于是否有良好的阅读习惯和能否利用有效的阅读技巧。而 “指读”，“唇读”，“回读”，和“译读”都在一定程度上影响了对阅读材料的理解和阅读速度。还有的学生过于注重细节，对英语文段进行阅读时，一般逐字逐句去理解，通过译成母语来辅助理解。结果在阅读中是“只见树木，不见森林”，读完文章却不知文章主要讲了些什么。一遇到生词，便停顿下来，立刻查字典，无法在通篇理解的基础上继续进行阅读，也影响整句或整段意思的理解。
1.培养良好阅读习惯。教师应帮助学生有意识地戒掉不良的阅读习惯，并进行有预测的针对性阅读。“预测阅读”是指针对所学课文，指导学生不要急于从头看到底，而是先浏览标题，插图，文章的格式等进行初步的预测，再根据教材或教师精心设计的各种问题进一步推测文章的大致内容和主要话题等。然后再开始阅读，并在阅读过程中把自己的设想与原文进行比较，更深入地体会作者的写作意图，加深对文章的理解。指导学生学会略读（Skimming）和跳读（Skipping）即快速查找某一相关信息，阅读时对不相关的内容一带而过。在阅读过程中，指导学生学会猜测生词尤为重要，但不同的语境，单词的意思也就不一样，所以教师要指导学生根据上下文线索和构词法等知识去猜测。
2.指导学生加强对文章宏观上的理解。我国当代著名教育家叶圣陶先生说：“就文章本身而言，了解文章里作者思想发展的途径最为切要.” 因此，在阅读时教师要着重引导学生关注文章的谋篇布局，摸清作者的思路，抓住文章的主题句正确理解全文。并通过课堂阅读教学训练学生宏观阅读技巧。如：在指导学生做阅读题时，首先要求学生阅读首尾句，确定文章的文体，叙述的角度。如果是说明介绍类，即再阅读各段的第一句，这样便可初步从宏观上摸清文章的主旨和文脉，从而为细节理解和推理判断提供了宏观上的语境。
3.掌握有效的阅读题的答题技巧。指导学生使用文——题——文阅读方式、培养从整体到细节的阅读能力。即先快速通读全文，对文章形成总体印象，然后读问题，再将全文认真读一遍，最后回答问题，该种方法在快速阅读的过程中了解全文的题材、主要结构、中心思想、主题段、主题句。在跳读时，一目十行，目光自上而下定位与答题内容有关的词句，无关的内容掠过，使回答有关who，what，when，where等文章细节问题时，能很快找到答案，这样既提高了做题的准确性，又能有效地利用时间。
四、网络资源
如果学生的阅读量仅仅局限于课本，就会导致孤陋寡闻，所以教师应该指导学生走出课本，广泛涉猎。
网络具有信息丰富，题材广泛且内容新颖、反馈及时等特点，在中职阶段学生词汇量已有一定积累的前提下，教师结合教材主题，利用网络中富有时代气息的真实性材料进行辅助教学来丰富和拓展英语教学内容与背景知识，可以极大提高学生的阅读兴趣，有效提高他们的阅读能力。例如我们可从相关网站上找到关于猪流感和地震的报道作为补充阅读材料。这可以使学生真正领会到通过阅读了解热点问题的乐趣。总之，网络空间中有大量英语资料，这些资料是任何一座图书馆都无法比拟的。
五、课外活动
课外活动是课堂教学的有效补充和延伸，教师根据学生的年龄特点和兴趣爱好，积极开展各种课外活动有助于学生增长知识、开阔视野、发展智力和个性、展现才能。教师应有计划地组织内容丰富、形式多样的英语课外活动，如朗诵、唱歌、讲故事、演讲、表演、英语角、英语墙报、主题班会和展览等。教师要善于引导，保护和激发学生的好奇心和求知欲，培养他们的自主和创新意识。

On the other hand, the lack of knowledge about the importance of protecting environment hinders the solving of the problem. In a word, there is a long way to go before we enjoy a clean and comfortable world.
To protect the environment, governments of many countries have done a lot. Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect the forest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution. Therefore, governments are playing the most important role in the environmental protection today.
In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more people means more pollution. Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionally should be severely punished. We should let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.
