Development and the Environment

It is undeniable that the worsening environment has become the biggest concern of the present-day world.Land resources are dwindling because of water loss and soil erosion.Waste gases poison the air we breathe.The rivers and lakes are polluted by waste dumped in them from factories.It is probably no exaggeration to say that deterioration of the quality of the environment threatens the existence of mankind itself.Some people are of the opinion that the environmental problem is the price we have to pay for economic development.But I do not think that this argument is valid.After all, what is the point of economic growth if people’s lives are adversely alfected by worsening environmental pollution?

There is plenty of evidence to show that sustainable development can be achieved by balancing economic growth with protection of the environment.The key to achieving this is to make people aware of the seriousness of the problem.Both governments and ordinary citizens should join hands to make this world a better place to live in, not only for ourselves, but also for future generations.环境与发展

1演讲的作用

1.1锻炼学生胆量

笔者曾经问过很多学生在进中职学校以前有没有上讲台当着全班同学的面讲话的经历,大部分人说没有,而且表示自己以前是一个不爱说话的人。现在,有了课前3分钟演讲,很多学生有了上台说话的机会。虽然第一次上台时他们手足无措、语无伦次,甚至不敢抬头直视他人,但是在第二次、第三次演讲之后,学生都有不同程度的进步。更令人惊喜的是,有些学生从开始时的低头默读到后来能与他人互动。

1.2活跃课堂气氛,激发学生学习兴趣

每次课前演讲学生都很踊跃,短短的3分钟演讲极大地活跃了课堂气氛,激发了学生学习兴趣。为了能得到大家的赞扬,演讲者在课余时间做了大量功课,表现欲在课堂上得到了满足,课堂上多了掌声,学生情绪被调动起来。在接下来的课堂教学中,学生继续保持高昂的情绪,对教师提出的问题也积极思考、畅所欲言,课堂上师生互动大大加强。活跃的气氛延续到整节课结束,教师不再苦恼于课堂沉闷,不用再苦思如何调动学生积极性。

1.3增加阅读量,提高写作水平

学生为了做好演讲,课余时间不断翻阅各种资料,随着涉猎范围的扩大,他们的阅读量不断增加,无形中也积累了写作素材。很多学生为了能顺利演讲,课下还精心组织演讲稿,反复修改,锻炼了写作能力。

2实施方法

2.1演讲顺序

演讲一般按座位顺序进行,从第一位学生到最后一位学生,笔者本着“一个都不能少、人人都有份”的原则,想方设法让每一位学生都参与到课前3分钟演讲中来。演讲一般控制在3分钟以内,要求尽量脱稿,声音洪亮,配合手势,富有感染力,可以与其他学生互动。

2.2演讲内容

演讲内容不设限制,只要健康即可。学生可以讲故事、诵美文、讲述生活中发生的小事、点评时事热点,也可以畅谈人生感悟。

2.3演讲点评

每位学生演讲结束后,教师和其他学生都要及时点评,先让学生做观察员进行点评,然后教师再做点评。点评以鼓励赞扬为主,辅以中肯的改进意见,让学生不断进步。这样循序渐进,教师的要求一次比一次高,学生的表现也会一次比一次优秀。

3体会

3.1转变教学观念

学生是教学主体,教师处于主导地位。以往的灌输式教学让学生感到厌烦。语文教学中,学生应该始终处于主动参与、乐于其中状态。课前3分钟演讲为整堂语文课注入了活力,学生的表达欲被释放,思维的火花被点燃,课堂教学变得轻而易举且富有成效。

3.2循序渐进

中职生基础普遍比较薄弱,口语表达能力欠佳。刚开始演讲时,教师的要求一定不能太高。“要我说—我要说—我能说”是笔者的思路,即先鼓励学生克服胆怯心理,开口说话;接着促使学生主动要求演讲,积极参与其中,体会到演讲的乐趣;最后掌握演讲技巧,逐渐提升口语表达能力。笔者把这3个阶段融入一年的语文课程来推进,连续性的训练使教学效果更好。

3.3创新课前3分钟表现形式

课前演讲的目的是提高学生口语表达能力,但是演讲并不是唯一能提高这一能力的方式。从一开始,笔者就鼓励学生发挥创造性思维,采用多种形式展示自己,如演讲、说相声、演小品、讲故事,或者与他人合作完成一个语言作品。灵活的形式让学生更加努力地为每一次上台做准备,也更加期待自己一次比一次精彩的表现。

在高中英语课堂教学中，对学生“听、说、读、写”能力训练的目的是学好知识、培养能力。它是英语课堂的重要任务，又是学习英语知识的完整过程。但从目前的现状来看，教师在课堂教学中最容易被忽视的就是对于“说”的训练。从教师的心态来看，认为“说”会影响教学进度，而且，高考又不直接考评。熟不知，“说”的训练正是为“写”打基础，二者是不可分的。因此，本人认为，有效地利用课前三分钟英语演讲对于学生的英语要运用能力是非常重要的。

为了提高学生“说”的能力，我们采用了“课前三分钟演讲”。具体做法是：每堂英语课在讲授新课前按学号排，由一名学生演讲，然后根据这名同学的演讲，由学生或老师做简短的讲评。坚持由易到难的原则，开始时，站在座位上讲，后来到台上讲，从自由讲话逐渐发展为命题讲话，即兴演讲。内容可讲所闻所见所感。这样一学期经过筛选把较好的演讲稿装订成册，定题为“高一英语演讲集锦”，印发给学生。那么，“课前三分钟演讲”有哪些好处呢？

一、它训练了学生的语言表达能力

学生在限定的时间内把准备好的内容表达出来。要求明了、轻快、准确、令人信服。通过演讲，学生内在的表达能力在教师和全体同学面前真实地外传。“三分钟演讲”使学生比较准确地了解自己表达能力。如在用英语表达的过程中语言是否准确，语音语调是否合适，声调是否恰当，表情是否自然，感情是否真实等。在表达中，学生看到了别人，也看到了自己，讲评别人的同时，也在规范着自己。

二、有助于提高学生的英语写作能力和口语表达能力

如果按传统的教学方法，提高学生的写作能力，效果总是不甚明显。通过“课前三分钟演讲”有助于提高学生的写作能力，因为学生要想三分钟演讲取得较好的成绩，必须演讲前要组织好英语材料，用恰当的词汇和句子完成自己的演讲内容。因而说的过程，也是写的过程，要想说好必须写好，不能应付，这样就能调动学生的积极性，激发学生的学习兴趣。经过一个学期的训练，学生的英语作文水平和口语大有提高。

三、为进行思想教育创造了一个生动活泼的局面，开辟了一条新途径

因为学生演讲内容摄取身边所见、所闻、所感，内容丰富多彩。诸如理想抱负、人生价值、社会生活现象、个人生活感受、班级活动、家庭关系、读书心得、学生之间关系等，这都对学生思想有教育意义。

四、锻炼了学生逻辑思维

梦想是我们的指路明灯，平凡的人生因为梦想而伟大，在黑暗中，在困境中，在失意的旅途中，有梦想能守护未来。从选择法律这个专业以来，我的梦想就是能为司法事业添上一砖一瓦。

梦想并非遥不可及，平凡的梦想也好，伟大的也罢，不去追逐，永远也成就不得。没有目标安于现状的人，不会体会到追梦者的成功与喜悦。依旧清晰的记得毕业前最后一个暑假，为了备战九月的司法考试，我选择了留在学校自习，重庆的盛夏，地面烫的让人站不住脚，在外面走的每一步，靠的的不是双脚，是意志力。就是这样，每天夙兴夜寐，在图书馆—食堂—宿舍之间三点一线，在重庆炎热的夏季流下了一滴又一滴的汗水。准备司法考试，我看过的书和资料，做过的题册，摞起来有讲台这么高，一点也不夸张，终于我收获了成功的喜悦。这是我为梦想走出的第一小步。

进入中院工作，是我向梦想迈进的又一步，工作一年以来，方方面面都有了新的认识和体验。以前在学校里学习到书本上的死知识，在实践的过程中渐渐充实起来，对于司法的公平正义也有了更深的理解。柔情只为群众，铁骨愿护公平。法官行使的是国家审判权，所作出的每一个决定，都关系到人民群众的切身利益。在一起丈夫杀妻的案件中，考虑到被害人的过错情节、被告人的认罪悔罪和他们年幼的孩子，办案法官积极为双方父母创造调解条件，耐心的向当事人做工作，终于成功调解，为被告人减刑，使得严肃的法律多了许多人性的关怀。

记得去年年底，春节临近，我院受理了一起国企老板挪用公款案，案件刚到法院，老板的亲戚朋友便托人上门说情，但都被院长和主审法官回绝了。第二天，该国企百余名员工也来到法院，哭诉老板挪用工人工资、克扣血汗钱，一时群情激奋，工人们忍无可忍来到法院，质问这钱还能不能要?主审法官的双眉紧紧拧成一个疙瘩，国家的财产神圣不可侵犯，群众的利益又岂能让人践踏!他随机做出指示：查封扣押赃款赃物，保证公正审判!他果断的决策让工人们看到了法院执政为民的决心，看到了法院维护人民利益、舍我其谁的气概。从立案、送达、开庭到制作判决书，程序在有条不紊的进行，还记得，多少个夜晚，当窗外静的只剩下飘落的雪花和偶尔的汽车声之时，法院大楼却灯火通明，更难忘，妻子牵挂丈夫的眼神和孩子一次又一次留下期盼的泪水……

人谁无情?庭审时看到过旁听席上默默擦泪的亲属，办案时见过为了身陷囹圄的儿子四处筹钱赔偿的父母，在看守所也遇到过步履蹒跚想进去探望亲属的老人，尤其是参与了一次死刑执行的案件，犹记得罪犯的母亲和妹妹那撕心裂肺的悲伤。对我们来说，一个个普通的的案件，对当事人来说就是关乎家庭幸福、关乎金钱、关乎自由、甚至是关乎性命的大事，我真切的体会到法官二字沉甸甸的分量。我们的一举一动，一言一行，都不能辜负群众对于司法的期盼，我们所做出的努力，就是为了让司法公正的阳光洒满人间。

猫伸展式：

我和妈妈对着跪在地上，头贴近膝盖，吸气，然后腰贴近地面慢慢往上伸，同时，头也慢慢地抬起来，就像小猫伸懒腰一样，当腰完全从地面抬起来，头仰到极限后，慢慢呼气，头低下，腰再拱起来，像拱小桥一样。

16岁那年，欧阳夏丹正在上高二。不幸的是，爸爸因为患癌症住进了医院。那时候，家里经济十分困难，爸爸住院花了大量的医药费，可妈妈和姐姐还是顶着一切压力，坚持不影响她的学业。有时，欧阳夏丹去医院探望爸爸，发现妈妈竟把一个面包当一餐饭。尽管最后，爸爸还是离开了自己，但妈妈的坚强却深深感染了欧阳夏丹。

一年后，北京广播学院史无前例地去桂林招生。她过五关斩六将，脱颖而出，成了广西地区几千名考生中唯一被录取的。

However, in the religious world or among the superstitious people, the belief in afterlife is very popular. They do not only believe in afterlife, but thousands of reincarnations as well. In the mysterious world, there are the paradise and the hell, the celestial beings and the gods, the Buddha and the Bodhisattvas.

Maybe they really believed it, or maybe they just wanted to make use of people’s veneration, the ancient emperors always declared that they were the real dragons, the sons of God, while the royal ministers claimed to be the reincarnations of various constellations. But can the stars reincarnate?

Many people burn incense and kowtow, do good deeds and strive for virtues, not just for the present, but mainly to let God see their sincerity so as to be reborn into a better afterlife, or to achieve the highest enlightenment after several lives of practice. They do believe in afterlife. But I can’t help asking: Suppose there were no afterlife, would you still do good deeds and strive for virtues? And If God does not see what you are doing, would you still be so upright and selfless? If you work, not for serving the public and liberating the others, but just for a better afterlife of your own, isn’t it a little too selfish? Comparing with this kind of believers, those who don’t believe in afterlife, but still keep doing good deeds, are the most sincere and honest philanthropists, because they do them not for themselves but for other.

You may wonder if I believe in afterlife. My answer is: I know nothing about my previous life, so I dare not make improper comments on afterlife. But I do hope there’s afterlife! Because our present life is so short that so many things slip away before our proper understanding. I have so many dreams, so many wishes, so many ambitions, as well as so many regrets and concerns. If there were no afterlife, all of them will remain unrealized!
