一、Preparation
1.日常用语练习，简短的师生问候和 问候和Free Talk，让学生快速进入上课状态。
2.播放课本65页的英语chant.让学生听音跟唱。其吟唱内容为本节课的教学活动做好铺垫。（播放课件）
二、Presentation 1.教师随意出示字母卡片，让学生认读。然后找两个同学分别将大小写的字母排序，让学生按顺序读字母，可以分组以开火车的形式进行比赛。
2.播放Let’s sing部分的录音，让学生先听一遍，然后跟唱，学唱的过程也正是学生进一步熟悉字母的过程。
3.凭记忆制作键盘
教师展示一电脑键盘，让学生仔细观察键盘上的一行字母键，两分钟后隐藏键盘，让学生凭记忆排列自己手中的字母卡制作这一行的字母键。同样的方法制作另外两行的字母键。最后看谁制作的最准确。
4.学生制作完毕后，教师把制作好的键盘展示给学生，边讲解边师范正确的指法，引导学生尝试着在自己制作的键盘上找一找。接着教师要求学生练一练，在键盘上边背字母表，边敲击所背的字母。
三、Practice 1.背诵字母表比赛。2.大小写字母搭配练习。
3.字母顺序练习。如找出字母的左邻和右舍的练习。
四、Production 游戏“Keyboard games”。1.Find the letters.2.“Type” the words.教师先在键盘上展示type这个动作，然后键入c-a-t告诉学生这样就输入了单词cat.随后让学生模仿，再练习其他的单词输入。
3.“Type” and sing.让学生试着边唱边敲击键盘上对应的字母，看谁能做到心、手、口协调统一。
教师和学生一起总结本课时的教学重点，回顾学过的知识内容。
五、Homework 1.做基础训练和配套练习中相应的练习。
《PEP小学英语》教材是人民教育出版社与加拿大Lingo Media国际集团合作编写的一套全新的小学英语教材, 共8册, 每学期一册, 供小学3~6年级学生使用。本套教材同样是根据小学生在不同年龄阶段的特征和认知特点设计相关的学习内容, 同时根据《国家新课程标准》对于小学阶段英语学习所要达到的一级和二级教学目标, 将学习的重点单词和句型合理地分配到不同年级, 目标明确, 层层递进, 帮助学生在学习英语时达到提高语言运用能力的目的 (杨婷2010) 。
一、《牛津小学英语》与《PEP小学英语》教材分析
本文以三年级下册英语教材为例, 分别从主题的设置、英语基本技能训练的方式、教材内容编排的难易程度、复习评价方式等四个方面分析两套教材的异同。
(一) 主题的设置
《牛津小学英语》3b全书共有12个单元, 其中每5个单元后都有一个复习及检查的单元, 而《PEP小学英语》三年级下册中只设置了6个单元, 在此之外添加了2个复习巩固的单元。在单元主题内容的选择上, 这两套书既有相似点, 也有各自关注的话题。相似的主题有school, family, number, 特殊疑问句及一般疑问句, 这说明两套书的编者都认为这个时段的学生应该了解更多的关于学校、家庭、数字等涉及日常生活的英语词汇。另外, 这两套教材都要求学生学习并掌握基本问句。
这两套教材也有一些不同的主题, 例如, 《牛津小学英语》有几个单元涉及shopping, time, food, a good idea等主题, 编者更侧重贴近学生生活的内容, 而《PEP小学英语》涉及的主题有zoo等, 编者更多考虑学生的兴趣爱好, 并借此扩大学生的词汇量。
总的来说, 这两套小学英语教材虽各有千秋, 但所呈现的主题内容均是小学生日常生活中可以用到的, 贴近生活的。这样的编排会让学生自然而然地学习并运用英语。
(二) 英语基本技能训练的方式
众所周知, 英语的基本技能有四个方面:听、说、读、写。本文以三年级下册英语教材为例, 以三年级学生所要达到的英语基本技能标准为研究对象。
在“听”的方面, 《牛津小学英语》教材主要以听录音识图、认物为主, 或者是听对话模仿跟读;而《PEP小学英语》教材除了以上相似的听力训练外, 还充分发挥了TPR (Total Physical Response) 节奏活动的优势, 将听力与书写相结合, 强化小学生对于单词的掌握。
在“说”的方面, 这两套小学英语教材均以看图说话的练习居多, 模仿句型编造对话比较实用。两套教材中都出现了英文歌曲部分, 满足了低龄小学生喜爱音乐的天性。同时, 《PEP小学英语》教材还添加了“讲故事”的环节, 不仅能够帮助学生复习学过的英语知识, 而且能培养其想象力和创新力。
在“读”的方面, 《牛津小学英语》和《PEP小学英语》教材均以阅读单词、短语及对话为主。在课堂教学中, 教师将主要的教学时间分配在学生的发音及反复朗读上, 不断帮助学生记忆读音。
在“写”的方面, 《牛津小学英语》教材几乎没有出现英语书写及写作部分, 只在小学高年级的一册书中出现段落写作的内容。而《PEP小学英语》教材中, 每个单元都有听写环节, 并有规范的书写练习, 可以帮助学生练习英语书写。
(三) 教材内容编排的难易程度
教材内容的编写要符合学生的身心发展规律, 不能超出其接受范围 (许峰2004) 。
首先是词汇, 两套教材在词汇选择方面略显不同。《牛津小学英语》教材中的词汇量大且较难, 《PEP小学英语》教材中的词汇简单易掌握。例如, 在数词的学习上, 《PEP小学英语》三年级下册教材中仅局限于20以内的数词, 而《牛津小学英语》教材要求学生掌握100以内的数词。
其次是语法, 就整套英语教科书来说, 《牛津小学英语》教材从三年级开始已经涉及时态, 如一般现在时、现在进行时、一般过去式等, 而《PEP小学英语》教材涉及的时态较少, 取而代之的是大量的日常口语。
最后是对话练习, 《牛津小学英语》教材中的图片对话搭配较为简单, 每个环节相匹配的例句不多, 学生缺少模仿的对象;在《PEP小学英语》教材中, 各个板块提供的例句较多, 而且在同一单元中, 句型及词汇的重复率较高, 对学生的学习起到了强化作用。
(四) 复习评价方式
复习评价对于课程教学极其重要, 它能够反映课程实施的效果并影响接下来的课程计划 (王艳娥、陈海蛟2003) 。这两套小学英语教材都设置了复习评价的环节, 但其出现的形式不同。《牛津小学英语》教材中每5个单元后会有一个复习的单元, 其形式简单, 大多是单词及句型的巩固练习, 学生只能在不断的练习中重复所学, 掌握重点;《PEP小学英语》教材中每3个单元后都会有一个复习单元, 其中评价占主要部分, 均以量化的形式出现, 同时每个单元包含Let’s check环节, 帮助学生及时复习并检查每个单元的重点内容。
二、《PEP小学英语》教材的优势
通过对两套英语教材的对比分析, 笔者认为《PEP小学英语》教材比《牛津小学英语》教材更具有实用性, 具体表现为以下三点:
(一) 由侧重兴趣培养到兴趣能力兼顾
《PEP小学英语》教材把培养学生学习英语的兴趣和爱好放在首位, 在本版小学英语教科书的前四册中有大量能够吸引小学生注意力的教学活动, 这有利于使学生在逼真的环境中学习语言和应用语言, 同时教师在实施英语教学的过程中可以组织符合小学生兴趣爱好的活动, 培养学生学习英语的兴趣, 逐渐使学生养成主动学习英语的习惯 (张雪梅2001) 。因此, 教师在小学三、四年级的英语教学中要尽可能多地创设逼真的英语学习情境, 激发学生学习英语的兴趣, 而在进入小学高年级后, 提高学生的语言运用能力和语言知识应与培养学生的学习兴趣齐头并进, 加大对学生基础知识和基本技能训练的分量。
(二) 由能力培养到全面提高
《PEP小学英语》教材在单词和句型教学设计方面, 根据不同年龄学生的特点共分为两大类型。首先在1~4册的教材设计中, 考虑到三、四年级学生刚刚接触英语, 且学生的注意力不能够长时间集中, 教材中设计了很多活动, 以帮助学生反复学习和练习需要掌握和应用的单词和句型, 分环节、分步骤地要求学生进行听说认读和巩固内化, 使学生掌握的词汇量逐渐增多并能够灵活运用句型;而在5~8册的教材设计中, 鉴于学生已经进行了两年的英语学习, 增大教学内容难度, 将单词和句型进行了有效整合, 重在全面提高学生语言学习的基本技能。因此, 小学英语教师应以全面提高学生语言能力为目标设计科学的教学活动, 把握英语知识之间的必然联系, 最终有效实现小学英语教学目标, 全面提高小学生的英语语言运用能力。
(三) 由注重语言学习环境的创设到多方位地进行语言操练
《PEP小学英语》教材提倡在教学过程中, 教师通过创设逼真的语言环境帮助学生学习英语知识和训练语言技能, 这是小学三、四年级尤为重要的英语教学方法;在五、六年级的英语教学中, 教学情境的创设逐渐减少, 教学重点放在全方位、多角度地对句型进行重点练习, 构成了一个多方位的语言操练系统, 对小学高年级的学生来说, 这样的设计比较有挑战性, 能使他们听、说、读、写等方面的能力得到全面的训练, 为语言的应用奠定基础。

然而，传统的英语书面作业均以抄写为主要形式，作业内容机械、重复，缺乏趣味性、选择性和层次性，没有思维训练价值，更谈不上创新与实践能力的培养。学生们对这样的作业又持怎样的态度呢？
现象一：抄写作业≈无趣作业
师：今天的作业是抄写第一单元的英语单词表，每个单词抄两行。
生：（一脸苦恼）老师，我可不可以不抄？我的书写都很漂亮了，再说今天的语文、数学和科学作业都很多，再加上英语，晚上又不知道要到几点了！
思考：有人认为英语属于“死记硬背”课，抄抄写写即可应付考试。于是乎天天抄：抄单词、抄词组、抄课文、抄对话、抄习题。学生也因此怨声载道，对抄写作业大多是任务观点，敷衍了事。若长此以往，学生学英语的兴趣便被这机械重复的作业给淹没了。
现象二：复习作业≈题海作业
师：同学们，最近上的是复习课，家庭作业是一天一张试卷。
生 ：（集体编写诗歌抱怨）复习的日子真痛苦，语数英科样样补，试卷漫天在飞舞，成绩原地在踏步。
思考：心理学家告诉我们，世界上没有两片完全相同的树叶，当然，也就没有两个完全相同的学生。同样的作业要求，对不同的学生来说，就会有不同的作业表现。学优生学得轻轻松松，甚至出现“吃不饱”的现象。而学困生连随堂知识都来不及消化，作业更是没办法完成。于是，作业也成了“两极分化”的主要“元凶”之一。
面对上述现象，笔者在实践中对书面作业设计做了如下改革，收效颇大。
一、书写作业——花样写 殊途归
新PEP三年级上册六个单元的单词内容分别是“文具，颜色，身体部位，动物，食物，数字”。以前教学时发现学生经常能快速说出单词，但不能快速认出单词。怎么办呢？为此设计了如下作业。
1.贴标签。
适用第一单元。
把学过的pen，pencil，pencil-box，ruler，bag，book，eraser and crayon 做成单词标签贴在相应文具上。为了达到美观，孩子们用心书写单词，一次写不好两次，两次不行三次，有的学生追求完美，甚至写了不下十次，并精心装裱，贴到各类物品上。就在这一次次地修改完善中，学生提高了书写水平和辨认单词的能力。
2.用环环相扣的绘画代替抄写。
适用于一、二、三、五单元
第一次作业：画学具，标单词。
第二次作业：给学具加标颜色单词。
第三次作业：用学具装饰五官，图颜色，标单词。
第四次作业：用食物装饰身体，图颜色，标单词。
3.变体力劳动为脑力劳动。
适用于《英语抄写本》
对于一些必需重复几次才能记住的单词，笔者也是想方设法让学生边动脑边抄写。例如，教学了B2 U3 lets learn “big， long， small， short， fat， thin”后布置如下选做作业。A.按你喜欢的程度抄写。B.按单词在字典里出现的顺序抄写。C.搭配反义词并抄写。学生们把体力劳动和脑力劳动相结合，不知不觉中就完成了作业。
4.利用学具拼写单词。
适用于lets spell。
新PEP更加重视语音教学，重新安排了语音学习的顺序：字母名称音——辅音字母发音——原音字母发音——字母组合，体现了语音学习的规律性和渐进性。如三年级下册的lets spell，从教材内容设计和排版上都更有韵味，符合儿童认知特点。为此，家长们在老师的指导下制作或购买了英语拼读学具。每次的lets spell教学后，孩子们总是能乐此不疲的翻动学具拼读单词，提高了单词拼读的正确率，也增加了学生的词汇量。
二、复习作业——重梳理 自复习
1.利用思维导图梳理单词。利用思维导图不仅有助于课梳理庞杂的知识， 而且对于学生思维的训练也大有裨益。如图：
学生从字母b联想到三个以b开头的颜色单词，再联想到有这些颜色属性的物品单词，并进行归类，提高了词汇复习的趣味性和有效性。
2.根据疑问词梳理问答句。新PEP三年级上册出现的问答句还不是太多，但授予学生归类梳理的方法有利于帮助学生建构知识。

（1）日常口语练习。
（2）教师将giraffe, bear ,cat, pig, monkey, mouse 的图片贴在黑板上。学生边指图边跟录音复习歌谣，还可以做出相应的动作。通过此歌谣可以复习Look at …的句型，以及big, fat, tall 等单词。
2.呈现新课(Presentation)（1）教师为学生复习单词big, long, short, small, tall。
（2）了解so 的用法。
教师从黑板上取下pig 的图片，对学生说：Look at the pig.It’s so big.强调so的语调，并加以“大”的手势。接着，教师拿下mouse 的图片，对学生说：Look at the mouse.It’s small.It’s so… 示意学生说出：It’s so small.同样，教师做出“小”的手势。让学生体会 so 在句子中的意思是：“强调某种程度”。
（3）教师出示单词卡片，再次认读并复习表示大小、长短的单词big, long, short, small, tall,fat。
（4）教师播放Let’s talk / A 部分的教学课件，让学生初步了解对话含义。
（5）再次观看Let’s talk / A 部分的教学课件，让学生跟读对话中的句子，模仿发音，要求自然生动。3.趣味操练(Practice)
（1）将课件中的声音关闭，让学生为其中的人物配音。
（2）让学生拿出事先准备好的玩具，并说出英语名称。然后教师请一名学生上讲台前，做示范：教师指着学生手中的玩具说：A monkey.Look at the monkey.It’s tall.之后，请几个能力较强的学生说说手中动物玩具的样子。
（3）教师请每组派一名学生到讲台前表述组里的图片。如：
Look at my giraffe.It’s so tall./It’s short.教师带领学生做游戏，通过游戏的形式让学生连锁记忆，从而复习巩固介绍小动物情况的句子。

教学反思：本节课学生一直处于紧张而又兴奋的状态，尤其是在将课件中的声音关闭，让学生为其中的人物配音时，把课堂的气氛推向一个新的高潮，学生们跃跃欲试。这种教学方式调动了学生的积极性，使学生在欢快的气氛中巩固了所学的语言知识，极大地提高了学生学英语的兴趣。
第二课时
教学目标
1.能够听、说、认读thin, fat, tall, short四个形容词。注意告知学生它们是两对反义词。

（1）游戏：猜动物。学习新单词“tall”

（4）完整播放动画, 学生跟读学习单词;教师也可关闭声音, 让学生看动画读单词。

3、趣味操练(Practice)
（1）教师将Let’s learn 部分的单词卡举起，带读，学生以“开

听音写字母Listen and write 教学过程：
1.Listen, repeat and chant.（1）.教师同时呈现big,pig,six,milk四个单词及其图片，让学生读出单词，并找一找这四个单词的共同点，如果单词中都有字母i，都有字母/i/音等等，教师不急着给答案，鼓励学生通过观察体验自己发现和总结规律。
（2）.播放课文录音，让学生进一步熟悉字母i的发音并跟着录音拼读单词。
（3）引导学生观察这四个单词的拼写，思考并说出其包含的共同字母并且归纳出字母i的发音是短音/i/。
（4）以big为例，教师放慢速度并以夸张的口形读出单词big，引导学生思考big由多少音素组成，分别是什么音素，以同样的方法对pig, six, milk进行拆音训练。建议做拼音。

第五课时 教学目标
1.能够听、说、认读short, long, small, big等单词。注意告知学生它们是两对反义词，引导学生发现short的两重意义：“短”和“矮”。
2.能够在语境中运用这些单词描述动物外形特点。如果有时间可以复习第一单元的he，she，从而拓展到人的外貌描述: He/She is tall.He/She has big eyes.3.能够在图片的帮助下听懂指令并做出相应的动作。

本课的重点是能运用所学句型来介绍自己的姓名、国籍以及初步掌握单词的书写格式。在新授时，教师 不是直接地去教单词，而是欣赏各国的历史文化来引出新单词的教学，这样既避免了教学形式的单一，又教给学生许多课外知识。在讲解单词书写要领时，教师一边示范一边让学生跟着说出其格式，这样有效地集中了学生的注意力，使学生在较短时间内学会了知识。

知识与技能：学习元音字母a在单词中的发音以及认读书写含有这个字母的单词。过程与方法：借助手势教学字母发音，归类识记单词。

重点、难点： 掌握元音字母a的发音和单词的书写。元音a的发音，引导学生认识字母有元音和辅音之分。教学过程：
