一、高中英语阅读课堂中审美缺失的成因

1.单一的人才选拔体制。一方面,由于人才选拔的方式单一,美育得不到重视,教师本身缺乏对美的鉴赏。加上教师评价体制的单一,教师们更多地致力于“学术”研究,以及对于学生成绩的提高,忽视了对于自身审美能力的培养,缺乏“美”的陶冶,审美情绪相对低落。另一方面,教学仍旧未能脱离为考试服务,阅读课作为语料输入的重要途径,更注重知识点的积累、技能的操练,学生的审美愿望长期得不到照顾,已经变得十分淡薄。

2.功利阅读风气的泛滥。为何阅读?为了提高英语能力,考试取得好成绩。一堂内容充实,互动活跃,围绕着“知识”与“能力”的阅读课,确实能满足知识和能力层面的要求,但审美的缺失,却让一堂课美中不足。看似目标明确,课堂效果良好,但长此以往,学生的学习热情难以继续保持,学习动力也会相对减弱。只有发自内心的喜欢,才能真正保持学习动力,提高学习效率。

3.审美评价机制的不成熟。英文是十分优美的,美在音韵,美在思维,美在内涵。现在的高中英语阅读课堂不但缺乏对审美能力的培养,更没有成熟的审美评价机制。每一位学生都有一双发现“美”的眼睛,可惜往往得不到教师的肯定。长此以往,学生对于“审美”便无暇顾及。

二、“美化”高中英语阅读课堂的要义

1. 加强教师自身审美陶冶,强化阅读课堂的审美意识。随着时代的发展,学生的“主体”地位得到不断的提升,但并不能忽略教师的“主导”作用。教师应该积极学习“美育”相关的理论知识,关注研究的最新动向,用知识来装备自己。同时,应大量阅读,培养自身对英文的“审美”能力,陶冶情操,使英文不断“内化”,培养起自身的“审美”内涵与情绪。更要端正观念,摒除功利阅读教学的影响,在重视提升学生英语阅读能力的同时,更要强化学生对英文的审美熏陶。

2. 营造良好的审美氛围,打造“以美促学”的阅读课堂。

(1)强化朗读,读出音韵之美。例如,临近高考,面对每天的常规复习,不少学生学习情绪低落。为此,笔者准备了一首《Langstan Hughs》的英文诗歌:

Dreams

Hold fast to dreams

For if dreams die

Life is a broken-winged bird

That can never fly

Hold fast to dreams

For when dreams go

Life is a barren field

Frozen only with snow

在反复阅读这首诗歌的过程中,学生品味到了英文短诗的节奏与音韵,感受到了作者对于梦想的执着追求,不但“内化”了语言,更激励学生坚持到底,守住梦想。

(2)巧设情境,辨出思维之美。英文之美,更美在思维———严谨的逻辑,敢于打破常规的思维方式。在阅读教学中,也应该不断打破常规,根据学生整体情况,多开展一些利于学生辨析文字逻辑、作者思维的任务。如可以提一些质疑式、矛盾式、逻辑式的问题,也可以安排一些观念上的讨论甚至是辩论,让学生充分参与,促使学生去思考,去辨析,提高思维能力。如在学习模块二Unit 2 Reading:AnnAdventure in Africa时,给学生足够的时间,讨论“会不会入乡随俗,饮用动物的血”这一个问题。这一讨论,在培养学生发散性思维的同时,也引发了道德上的论断,有助于提高学生的判断力。更让人欣喜的是,这一讨论并没有违背学习知识提高能力的目标,学生将所学词汇、句式运用到讨论中,也起到了巩固作用。

(3)大胆“留白”,悟出内涵美。讨论、思辨能激发出思维的火花,但文字的意蕴和内涵,往往需要静下心来,仔细品读,慢慢领悟。高中生已经具备较强的自学能力,善于思考,因此在阅读的课堂里,也应该放心将主动权交给学生,让他们自己来悟出英文的内涵。如在学习诗歌《A Red,Red Rose》时,给学生留出时间,静心品味这首诗歌的意蕴和内涵。请学生猜想作者当时想说的话,整理成文。这些时间,被学生充分地用来挖掘诗歌的内涵与意蕴,审美能力得以提高。当然,语用能力在思考与遣词的过程中也得到了锻炼。

2.创设合理的审美评价机制,满足学生对“美”的需要。由于审美能力的培养得不到重视,审美评价机制也不够成熟。一个能够最大程度上肯定学生的审美能力,鼓励学生追求美的评价机制,应具备以下特点:(1)重视审美过程,而非结果;(2)关注开放性答案,反对死板;(3)鼓励多层次审美,而非浮于表面。教师应该充分关注学生整体的审美需求,设计不同层次的任务,创设多元的审美机会,鼓励学生培养审美能力,尽可能多给予学生肯定,以促进学生全方位的发展。

由于很多原因,导致很多学前教育专业的学生都是运用消极的方式来应对英语学习。如何对她们的英语积极性进行提高,让她们能够喜欢上英语课,并且能主动的参与到英语课堂教学中去,这是中职学前教育专业英语教师们一直都在思考的问题。当前很多教师都在尝试将英文歌曲运用到教学之中,这种方法较为实用。英文歌曲本身有着相当优美的旋律,并且有很多歌曲都有着较为轻松、愉快的节奏,这些歌区很容易吸引学生们的注意力,并且会让学生在不知不觉之中就会跟着旋律去哼唱。因此在课堂教学中运用英文歌曲,可以让课堂的教学效率得到改善。

一、在中职学前教育专业英语课堂教学中运用英文歌曲辅助教学的理论依据

1.第二语言习得理论。美国语言学家克拉申在其《语言习得与语言学习》以及《语言输入论》之中所提出来的理论,让英文歌曲在课堂教学之中使用具备了良好的理论基础。在克拉申的理论之中,认为语言习得的过程和儿童习得母语的过程是相似的。也就是在一种潜意识的情境之下,很自然的就能够习得各种语言知识以及语言技能。特别是对于外语的学习也是这样,通过英语歌曲的运用可以让一直都在汉语环境之下成长的学生,获得一种习得英语的环境以及氛围,让学生能够处于一种较为真实的、自然的环境之中去对外语进行学习。

2.认知规律。中职学生的心理特征是从形象思维逐步的向抽象思维进行过渡,因此对于直观形象的材料最为容易接受。在教学的过程中运用听、唱英文歌曲,能够营造出一种直观、轻松的课堂教学气氛,让学生能够处于一种没有压力的学习环境之下。因此,将英文歌曲运用到英语课堂教学之中与学生的认知规律相符合。同时学生在获得知识的过程中,也是逐步的从感性到理性认识的过程。将英文歌曲融入到教学之中,可以让知识变得更加的有趣,并能够将抽象与形象进行有机的结合,让学生在学习的过程中获得感性的题材,并在一个欢愉的气氛之中,逐步的掌握英语学习的真谛,并最终实现从量变到质变的学习效果。

3.情感基础。在教学的过程中,需要对学生的认知特点与变化规律进行研究与掌握,这样才有助于对学生的学习积极性以及主动性进行充分的调动,让学生可以获得全面的发展。大多学前教育专业的学生们虽然自制力不足,但是有着很强的模仿能力,并且爱唱爱跳。同时她们还对时尚和潮流非常地感兴趣,因此她们的学习成绩在很多时候都是看她们是否感兴趣。兴趣作为推动学习的重要内在力量,是学生开展学习的重要内在动力,同时也是学生开展学习的好老师。良好的兴趣可以帮助学生更好的认知事物,让学生在参与活动的过程中产生出积极的心理倾向。而英文歌曲则与学生的认知特点与身心发展特点相契合,也是广大的学前教育专业的学生所感兴趣的事物。因为有很多学生都有这样的想法:会唱英文歌曲很时尚。因此需要抓住学生的这一心理特点来开展英语教学。

二、英语歌曲在学前教育专业英语课堂教学中的运用

1.对英文歌曲资源进行提前搜集。在中职学前教育专业中,那些有着较强音乐节奏感的学生,通常都比较喜欢pop music、rock这一类的英文歌曲,并且能比较轻松的就学会这些英文流行歌曲,例如Lenka、Avril Lavigne、Owl City、Adele、Backstreet Boys、Linkin park等演唱的相当流行的歌曲。而教师也可以引导她们去搜集与课堂教学内容相关的歌曲,或者是去收集那些积极向上、对于她们的成长有着积极意义的英文歌曲,在课堂之上大家一起进行欣赏。

2.运用英文歌曲帮助学生学习语音与语调。在英语学习的过程中,“哑巴英语”是一种常见的现象。学生在学习的过程中不喜欢开口,也不喜欢听各种相关的听力材料,这在一定的程度上导致了他们大多数时候只会英语考试,而不能够流利的运用英语进行交流。在对英语进行学习的过程中,听和说之间是相辅相成的。如果在听的过程之中反映不够快,或者是对其中的某些词的意思并不是很了解,就导致他们不能够明白说话的内容。而适当的进行短语句型的口语训练,则可以帮助学生改善听力。从这里能够看出听和说的练习之间是存在有共同点的。英文歌曲不仅仅旋律优美,而且很多都有着轻松愉快的节奏,即使是最调皮的学生也能够哼几句。而这就为英语的听说训练提供了机会。

3.通过英文歌曲对学生的读写技能进行培养。在开展英语学习的过程中,阅读和写作技能的培养相当重要。在阅读过程中所遇到的各种单词、短语、句型,在理解吸收之后都可以作为写作的重要材料。

英文流行歌曲基本上都是倾向于日常生活之中经常出现的并且相对简单实用的。对英文歌曲进行学唱,可以对单词进行有效的学习和巩固。同时因为伴随有优美的旋律,可以有效的以唱促学。

总之,在中职学校学前教育专业的英语教学过程中,重要的是让学生在能够考得高分的同时,真正的能够用英语来进行简单的实际交流。英文歌曲本身在发音、语法结构等方面都有着较强的练习作用,合理的对其进行运用,可以让学生产生兴趣的同时学好英语。但是需要注意的是,所选择的歌曲要与他们的兴趣和水平相吻合,不要太难,要容易朗朗上口;歌曲之中的内容应该和教学内容进行结合;同时课堂之上所运用的歌曲也不能够太多,防止英语课成为了音乐课。
