一年一度的开学典礼, 是大学的节日。同学们带着高考成功的喜悦, 带着家人朋友的祝福, 带着无限美好的梦想, 来到“千年帝都、牡丹花城”, 相聚在美丽大气的河南科技大学校园, 为学校增添了新的生机与活力。我作为大学的过来人, 也以校长的责任所系, 就和大家谈谈这些问题, 供同学们参考借鉴。我就从三个英文单词谈起。

第一个英文单词是What, 即大学是什么?现代大学的概念, 来自英文university (A university is an institution where students study for degrees and where academic research is done) 。

儒家经典《礼记·大学》一文说:“大学之道, 在明明德, 在亲民, 在止于至善。”意思是:大学的根本, 在于弘扬高尚的品德, 使人弃旧图新, 追求尽善尽美的境界。蔡元培先生也说过:“教育是帮助被教育的人给他能够发展自己的能力, 完成他的人格, 不是把被教育的人造成一种特别的器具。”这是对孔子“君子不器”育人思想的具体运用。《高等教育法》明确规定“高等教育的任务是培养具有创新精神和实践能力的高级专门人才。”就是说, 大学培养的不仅是已有专业知识的传承者, 更是未知领域的探索者。因此, 我始终认为大学不是培养“匠人”的地方, 不仅仅是给学生一门专业知识作为谋生手段, 更重要的是在综合素质、创新精神和实践能力方面有所提高, 成为一个品德高尚、身心健康、专业基础比较宽厚、会学习、善思考、有爱心的全面发展的人。

第二个英文单词是Wha, 即为什么上大学?这个问题回答起来很难, 也很容易。大家想知道我当年是怎么想这个问题的吗?很简单, 就是为了能吃上“商品粮”。因为当时农村的生活实在是太苦了, 而不是“太酷了”。如今三十多年过去了, 我当大学校长也已经8年多了, 回过头来再看看当初的想法, 是不是太低了呢?这说明一个人的理想和目标不是一成不变的, 而是随着时空的变化而变化的。我讲这个自身的故事, 绝不是为了给你们“耍酷”, 我只是想以最简单的方式回答这个非常复杂的问题。因为这个问题因人、因地、因时的不同, 会有许多答案。我不想口号式地给你们一个统一的答案, 因为你们“90后”不爱这样, 而我也是真心认为不应该那样子。你们可以有你们自己的想法, 这是你们的权利, 是你们的自由。但我愿意和你们分享的是我的切身经历和真实感受, 那就是一个人要有自己的理想和目标, 而理想和目标是会变化的, 特别是年轻的时候。我可不想让你们“少年不识愁滋味, 爱上层楼。爱上层楼, 为赋新词强说愁”, 如果这样, 那就是我们教育和你们学习的失败。我最深切地感受到, 因为受客观社会历史条件和人的发展阶段的局限, 我们当前目之所及、心之所向都是有限的, 确立的人生目标当然也是有限的。因此, 你们不能没有理想和目标, 也不能把目标简单地定位于眼前的现实而一成不变。中央电视台有句广告语:心有多大, 舞台就有多大。人生的道路虽然漫长, 但紧要的往往只有几步, 而能够上大学就是最为紧要的一步, 她会为你们将来获得更多更大的发展机遇做出必要的准备。

第三个英文单词是How, 即怎样上大学?我们知道, 大学一词在英语中的表述是University, 有人调侃为“由你玩世界”。如果大家真把调侃当现实, 那可就糟透了。大学迎接你们的不仅有鲜花和掌声, 还会有失意和挫折。我可以告诉大家, 学校每年都会有一定数量的应届毕业生不能如期毕业或拿不到学士学位, 甚至是中途退学。那么, 该如何度过宝贵的大学时光呢?韩愈在其《劝学解》中说:“业精于勤, 荒于嬉;行成于思, 毁于随。”这就告诉我们要“勤而勿嬉, 思而勿随”, 要有你自己的人生规划和设计并孜孜以求。常言道“一分耕耘, 一分收获”, 天上永远不会掉馅饼。具体地说, 作为河南科技大学的大学生就要秉承“明德博学, 日新笃行”的校训, 弘扬“自强不息, 追求卓越”的科大精神, 谨守“勤学慎思, 尊师诚信”的优良学风, 充分利用学校良好的资源条件, 积累和激发正能量, 刻苦学习, 努力成才, 把自己锻炼成为中国特色社会主义的合格建设者和可靠接班人。

巧妙提取英文词汇表的纯英文单词 篇3

第1步：删除词性

在正式处理之前，我们首先需要删除词汇表中的词性信息，在Word打开英文词汇表，也可以将英文词汇表全选之后复制到Word窗口，按下“Ctrl+H”组合键，打开替换对话框，将查找内容依次设置为n.、adj.、adv.、vt.，替换为空，这样可以删除其中的词性内容，或者也可以替换为“空格+词性”的形式。

第2步：为单词和后续内容插入空格

在Word打开英文词汇表，也可以将英文词汇表全选之后复制到Word窗口，按下“Ctrl+H”组合键，打开替换对话框，将查找内容设置为英文词汇表单词和后续内容之间的空格字符，空格字符建议从词汇表复制，替换为多个空格，空格数量可视词汇表单词的最大长度而定，建议适当设置得多一些，执行之后可以将单词与后续内容分隔开来。

第3步：处理多余的空格

按住Alt键，使用鼠标列选词汇表的英文单词即可，将其复制到记事本备用，不过列复制之后会产生许多无用的空格，如果直接在Word中通过替换的方法删除空格，将无法保证一行一单词的形式！我们可以通过下面的方法快速删除空格。
