大学英语网考也有消极作用, 即负向反拨效应, 大学英语网考对学生的消极影响。大学英语网考在题型、具体内容及考试时间分配上发生了巨大变化, 听力基础考题占了70%, 并增加了跟读这一新题型, 基本采用了选自VOA、BBC和CNN等媒体的新闻、采访、报道、讲座等具有真实语境的材料, 内容涉及教育、时事、科技、健康、体育、文化、社会、旅游等。网考中的所有题目都已经预设了答题时间, 如果超时, 电脑将自动进入下一题, 考生不能返回和修改。大学英语网考提高了对考生听、说、读、写等综合应用能力考查的难度, 使许多学生“望而生畏”, 产生了学习焦虑, “干脆不学”的厌学心理, 以及“避网考而选笔试”的逃避行为。大学英语四六级考试实行笔试和计算机网络考试并行的方式, 在一定程度上阻碍了计算机网络考试的推广, 致使一些学生存在侥幸心理, 选择参加笔试, 影响英语学习行为和效果, 没有真正提高听说能力, “哑巴英语”现象依然严重。此外, 大学英语网考因需采用网络计算机技术和考场建设, 需要大量财力, 短期内增加了学校办学负担, 影响了大学英语教学新模式的实施。

三、大学英语网考的建议

为了更好地发挥六级网考的优势和克服存在的负向反拨效应, 我们应该继续深化大学英语教学改革。政府教育部门、机构和高校应积极设立专项资金, 为大学英语教学提供良好的网络环境、计算机硬件和资金支持等条件, 资助和鼓励高校采用网络多媒体技术。大学英语教师应积极参与教学模式改革, 启用新教材, 采用新技术, 积极组织学生讨论现实生活中的热点话题或新闻时事, 提高教学质量, 了解文化背景知识, 提高学生对文化差异的认识和跨文化交际的能力, 提高学生的英语综合运用能力和学习兴趣。全国大学英语四六级考试委员会应积极改变当前笔试和网考并行的局面, 积极全面推进网考的模式, 确保大学英语四六级考试的公平、公正。学生应改变观念, 改进学习方法, 培养良好的学习习惯, 调整学习策略和应试策略, 适应新的教学模式, 加强网络阅读训练, 加强视听说练习, 多接触一些接近生活的多媒体资源和语境, 熟悉和掌握计算机网络操作技能。
