语文教学就是培养听、说、读、写能力的活动。经过本人多年来的教育实践总结, 发现“满堂灌”不足取, “课前五分钟”演讲确实能让“听”“说”的效果事半功倍, 反过来又能促进“读”“写”能力的提高。正所谓“磨刀不误砍柴工”!
“课前五分钟”是指语文教师在上正课前留五分钟时间, 让学生上台演讲与语文课有关的观点和内容, 也可以是一周以来有意义的见闻和感受。每节课利用五分钟时间安排1~2名学生上讲台发言, 师生及时简要点评, 及时记录精彩语段, 定期评出“最佳组合”和“演讲之星”, 就会逐渐增强全班学生学习语文的兴趣。
首先, 要积极准备, 贵在坚持。教师要反复要求学生端正态度, 提高认识, 上台前精心准备, 认真查资料, 认真选择话题, 内容健康向上, 贴近生活, 紧扣实际, 真正表现出自我的风格和水平。“课前五分钟”训练活动还要持之以恒, 一步一个脚印地训练, 只有日积月累, 才能循序渐进地提高自身的语文素质。
其次, 要鼓励为主, 因势利导。“课前五分钟”既要充分调动学生的参与积极性, 又要培养学生自主思考的能力, 让他们自行确定所要演讲的内容, 自己动手查资料, 自由发挥, 让学生真正起到主体作用。教师要善于发现学生的闪光点, 巧妙地给予鼓励, 营造一种宽松和谐的课堂气氛, 目的是使“课前五分钟”更切合学生的实际, 培养其独立学习的能力, 发挥各自的专长。而因势利导则是保证他们的独立学习和实践能沿着正确的方向前进, 培养科学的、健康的思想观和人生观。
最后, 要把握全局, 由点及面。“课前五分钟”要面向全体学生, 让每个学生都有平等参与锻炼的机会, 进而形成良好的循环习惯, 既有利于活动的继续开展, 也有利于语文水平的整体提高。假如只面向少数水平高的学生, 就会使其他大部分学生丧失锻炼提高的机会。久而久之, “课前五分钟”就会枯燥乏味, 失去坚持下去的兴趣。而在全体学生参与活动的前提下, 可以从中发现人才, 培养良好的班风士气, 培养竞争意识, 形成团结向上的学习氛围。
《普通高中语文课程标准》提出,“高中语文应帮助学生获得较为全面的语文素养”,“应增进课程内容与学生成长的联系,引导学生积极参与实践活动,学习认识自然、认识社会、认识自我、规划人生”。新课标的精神把全面提高学生的语文素养升到了一个新的高度,要求语文老师通过课堂,依托教材尽最大的可能提高学生听说读写的能力。《新课标》对“口语交际”教学做了具体而明确的要求,其主要内容包括:“口语交际能力是现代公民的必备能力。应在具体的口语交际情境中,培养学生倾听、表达和应对的能力,使学生具有文明和谐地进行人际交流的素养。”可见,培养学生的口语交际能力是必须而且必要的。因此在新一轮的教学中,我制定了三年的演讲训练计划,希望通过这个系统的训练能够对学生的听说读写能力的提高有所帮助。
一、“课前五分钟演讲”的训练过程
高一,第一节课就提出课前五分钟演讲的概念和要求。按照学号从小到大的顺序进行第一轮演讲。演讲内容由学生自由选择,可以是在报刊杂志上看到的、或者亲身经历的,只要是感触深的内容都可以。第二节课由老师示范。我选择了《开学了,你的心情是什么颜色》这一话题,分析了刚入高中起始年段的学生的心理状况。这篇有针对性的演说,起到了抛砖引玉的作用。“弟子不必不如师,师不必贤于弟子”这一古训在今天显得尤为灵验。《人要为自己的样貌负责》《最大的空虚叫做虚无》等优秀的演说在课堂上一一呈现。学生为了做好演讲翻看了大量的书籍,看到的好文章也随手保留了下来,而不是像以前看一篇忘一篇。一轮演讲下来,学生交换了四十多篇优秀的演讲辞,拓展了他们的阅读空间。同时对班风,学风的建设起到了积极作用。
第二轮演讲,我结合《必修一》的课外阅读要求,限定学生此轮演讲的范围是说《论语》。每人选择一则语录,上课前就把语录抄到黑板上,演讲时先翻译,,然后讲自己的理解,最后谈谈这则语录在现在还有没有现实意义。通过这个环节,学生既复习了文言知识,又对《论语》中许多值得我们去探讨的东西进行了个性化的解读,结合现实、结合自己的学习生活进行了分析。在此轮演讲的进程中,学生都觉得《论语》可讲的内容很多,理解也可多角度,往往一位同学刚讲完,另一位同学就迫不及待地要发表自己的感想。演讲后的评论,渐渐发展成争论,演讲进入了佳境。这不仅训练了学生讲的能力,也锻炼了他们听的能力!学生受益匪浅。集体要求二论《论语》。
时间的车轮来到了高二,学生说话能力有了提高,为巩固课前五分钟演讲的成果,继续激发学生演讲热情,开发说话潜能。我们的演讲也进行到了第三轮。这一轮的演讲不再是自由发挥了,我出了四十多个演讲题目,由学生抽签,每人抽取一个题目,回家准备,演讲的顺序是按照班级的座位从前往后进行。这一次我提出了新的要求,即开讲之前要对前一位同学的演讲进行点评。《新课标》提出,语文课程要养成学生“独立思考、质疑探究的习惯”,让学生“乐于进行交流和思想碰撞,在相互切磋中,加深领悟,共同提高”。安排点评正是为了达到共同提高的目的。我发现,每一位同学(第“1”号同学除外)在“评讲”的过程中,探究质疑,学习别人的优点,吸取别人的教训;但也会暴露出自己的缺点,如不当的肢体语言,下意识的小动作、口头禅,这些也是点评范围,通过这轮训练,大多数学生演讲时的仪表,仪态日趋规范化,语势,语调也开始讲究起来。
我不断地鼓励,不断地变换演讲的话题。问渠哪得清如许,为有源头活水来。为切切实实地培养同学们演讲能力,让他们讲得充实,说得具体,还必须从课内外获取知识,叩开思维的门扉。第四轮演讲我要求每位学生准备两个演讲话题,放在一个盒子里,演讲的同学提前一天从盒子里抽一个题目回家准备。“万卷古今消永日,一窗昏晓送流年”劝勉我们乐读书,博览群书,在读书中送走时光而其乐融融。学生们有目标、有选择地阅读,享受阅读乐趣的同时,也获取了演讲的材料,思维的快感。
进入到高三,我们的演讲要为高考的总复习服务。虽然说的能力影响写作,但演讲毕竟不是写作,要想把演讲能力转化为写作能力,就必须给他们搭建一个有效转换的平台。第五轮演讲,我提出了更高层次的要求,每位学生讲一件时事,分析这件时事适用的作文话题。我记得非常清楚,有位学生讲了2006年世界杯法国队与意大利决赛上齐达内的“世纪一撞”。这位学生是个铁杆球迷,他通过对这件事情分析得出了诸如关键时刻要冷静,瑕不掩瑜,公平与公正,尊严等八个话题。通过这一轮演讲,学生积累了作文材料,锻炼了学生对材料的解析能力。对于社会上的一些热点问题的讨论,不仅锻炼了学生的口才、逻辑思维能力,同时也提升了学生认识问题的深度,扩展了分析问题的广度,真是一举多得的好事。
最后一轮演讲,我为学生圈定了16个话题:人生哲理、人生观、人与自然、学会认识、为人处世、传统美德、教育改革、直面现实、道德法制、集体观念、心理健康、人文关怀、与时俱进、感情或理性、读书做人、时尚热点,把全班学生分为16组,每一组准备一个话题,每个话题找3件时事,并且要分析这件事如何反映话题的,话题中内含的实质是什么。
二、效果分析
经过三年探索,课前五分钟演讲取得了始料不及的效果。课前演讲能受到绝大多数学生的支持欢迎,是因为它不仅在形式上生动活泼,更重要的是在知识的丰富、能力的提高、完善人格的培养方面具有实效性。
演讲总共进行了六轮,每位学生都上台演讲了七次(《论语》讲了两次),很多学生第一次不愿意讲、不敢讲,上台时手足无措,语无伦次,经过第二次、第三次锻炼以后,能积极准备演讲稿,声情并茂地演讲。从一开始的不知道如何评价别人的演讲,到准确地评价同学的演讲;有些学生还锻炼了速记的能力。三年下来真是收获颇多,超出了我的预期!
1、提高了学生搜集整理信息的能力
为了写一篇让人耳目一新的演讲稿,学生常常为了找到自己最欣赏、最精彩的名言警句、名人轶事、优美诗句或经典论据,广泛地浏览、查阅,精心地摘取。通过课前五分钟演讲有效地锻炼了学生这方面的能力。
2、增强了团队合作意识
在演讲实践中,学生的合作的意识得到强化。第四轮演讲时,有位学生抽到的演讲话题是一位韩国明星的名字,一时之间有些不知所措,但是后来这位同学的演讲非常精彩,还配有PPT,事后了解,原来是班上一位“高手”伸出了援助之手,帮助伙伴完美过关。演讲还可以锻炼学生之间的团队合作!演讲前的相互切磋是合作,而演讲后的唇枪舌剑既是竞争,也是在合作。大家都在为一个共同的目标而努力。
3、提高了评价、分析能力
高中生应该具备对一件事科学地分析问题并做出准确判断、评价的能力。但由于目前的高中生学校家庭两点一线,普遍存在知识面狭窄的问题,致使他们看问题常常偏激,每每以偏概全,顾此失彼。在一轮轮的演讲中,通过热烈的讨论,加上教师适时点拨,学生的思辨能力,分析、评价能力得以迅速提高,尤其是第五轮演讲,学生通过对时事的分析谈自己的看法,辩证地看待问题,增强了作文审题的能力,作文切题率有较明显的提高。
三年来,“课前五分钟演讲”系列训练就象一个蹒跚学步的孩子,经过我与学生的不断努力,互相鼓励,日渐成熟,但是要使之完善,仍有一个长期而复杂的探索过程。需要语文老师拨动学生的心曲,踏着时代的节拍,为课前五分钟演讲系列训练赋予新的乐谱!
As I stand here speaking to you in English, I am already globalized. While shopping, I see the fair Chinese ladies carrying Prada handbags, I find they are globalized. Watching Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings with friends—yes, you can anticipate the refrain, we are all globalized!
In this era of globalization, we are one way or another all globalized. But realize this: when people’s heads turn to the fresh things that globalization literally delivers to our doors, the traditional things which we take for granted become ignored and sometimes forgotten. ConsiderLao Qiang, an ancient form of opera. It has almost vanished from the stage and only fewer than 20 people know how to sing it. So, how can we discover and explore our traditional culture? How can we rejuvenate and share them with the whole world? Well, there are three factors we need to keep in mind.
To begin with, the mass media plays a vital role in discovering traditional culture and connecting it with the widest possible audience. One evening in , for example, when my father and I were watching the final round of the popular TV showStar Road, we both became fans for a contestant named A Bao. We were attracted by his high pitched tenor voice, his traditional Shaanxi folk tunes and Shaanxi costumes. Apparently we were not his only fans. Star Road has aroused great popular interest in Shaanxi folk music. Such media can help popular audiences to discover lost arts and introduce people to them for the first time.
The mass media raise the people’s popular interest in the traditional arts, but it is the performing artists who really develop the people’s understanding of traditional culture. Yang Liping’s dance show Yunnan Image, based on primitive Yunnan dance style, has had an enormous influence in and out of China. Yang has recovered for us the primitive life in Yunnan. It is the raw and unadorned beauty of nature in her dancing that moves her audience most. We desperately need professional artists’ endeavor to discover traditional arts, to train apprentices, and to project our traditional culture on the global stage.
The third strategic factor in promoting our culture in global competition is an audience who knows what and how to appreciate our culture. But today’s youth—tomorrow’s explorers—are ill equipped to appreciate the traditional culture. Take myself as an example: I have had no painting or music classes since senior high school! No extracurricular activities like Chinese painting or calligraphy since primary school! What paltry little we learn about our traditional Chinese culture is relegated to a few lines and pictures in history books. We need our government and our school system to give us a better opportunity to embrace our traditional culture and discover its rich legacy for ourselves.

多年教学, 我的一些新的认识:
首先, 对教学现状有新认识。第一, 在高一, 不管在学生眼里还是家长、学校都不被重视。所以对学生过分强调知识点的落实让学生厌烦。事实上, 高一所学的内容到了高三复习时, 基本上要当作新课重新讲。第二, 高一考查更多是“考前背重点, 考时写重点, 考后忘重点”, 学生平时不会花多少精力学习, 观察生活和分析问题的能力没有得到提高。第三, 分文理科后, 学生在态度上有转变, 但是更多是满足于能及格就行, 而不是学透学精。
其次, 对教学目标有新认识。对于高一教学要更强调学生学习兴趣的培养, 更加强学生分析问题的能力锻炼, 更突出学生实践的尝试, 更侧重学生综合素质提高的体验。尽可能地让学生在学习时体会到快乐, 而不是枯燥的知识点和永远做不完的题目。
作为一名思想政治教师当然不希望学科受轻视, 但这不是我所能改变的, 我能做的就是“求变”。作为教师应该给学生提供平台, 提供的平台形式可以很多。比如:课前五分钟演讲、学习心得交流活动、辩论赛等等。在自己的高中时代, 思想政治课给予我最大的收获是老师通过“课前五分钟”的形式, 让我养成了关注和评论时政的习惯, 培养了我对思想政治的兴趣, 这或许就是我成绩优秀, 到后来选择思想政治教育专业的重要原因。于是, 我也选择用讲课前的五分钟, 让学生进行时政演讲, 为学生提供一个展示自我的平台, 在这里, 学生用自己所学的道理, 用独特的视角评点天下事;或激情高昂, 或饱含忧患, 或愤世嫉俗, 或真诚渴望, 在这里有思维的火花, 有激情的碰撞, 还有会心的微笑与共鸣。课前五分钟演讲的尝试让我有以下几点体会:
1. 培养了学生关心时政的习惯, 提高了学生的语言表达能力。
所谓国事家事天下事, 事事关心, 学生不应该只埋头专研课本, 满足于学会课本知识。人们把思想政治课称作解释学, 原因在于它本来就应该教会学生用运知识读解大千世界, 所以学习思想政治课, 更应该突破这一传统教学的误区。学生通过演讲的形式, 观察变幻莫测的大千世界, 走近社会, 用自己的心感悟、读解社会。而现在有不少学生是“两耳不闻天下事”, 他们认为读报看新闻是成年人的事, 天下大事与我何干?开展小演讲后, 学生改变了认识, 不少学生养成了读报听广播的习惯。在时政小演讲中还有意外的收获, 不少性格内向的同学, 过去课堂发言有胆怯心理, 参加演讲锻炼后, 他们的语言表达能力、自信心等都有明显提高。
2. 提升了学生的学习兴趣, 增添课程的趣味性, 时代性。
“生活之树常青, 理论是灰色的”, 思想政治课不该是脱离生活高高在上的, 学究式的无味的枯燥的说教课。纷繁复杂的现象:干旱、汶川大地震、人民币升值、反腐、金融危机、两会、文理分不分科的争论、民生、索马里海盗等等政治经济文化军事目不暇接, 处在这样的变幻之中, 学生获取信息的途径又是多元的, 与其照本宣科枯燥的说教, 不如主动引导学生接触生活实际, 把多彩的世界引进课堂, 让学生感觉学习思想政治课不再是一种负担, 不再感到索然无味, 而从心底感觉学习的乐趣, 并且感到其有用、有吸引力。
3. 提高了学生的观察与分析问题的能力, 开阔了眼界, 扩大了知识面, 丰富了学生们的业余生活。
常言道:“处处留心皆学问”, 同学们为了能搜集到有意义的题材, 在别人面前露一手, 随时随地就能触发他们的感官, 因此, 在演讲中也不时爆出闪光点。当代中学生对新事物、新知识、新社会现象充满好奇心, 有强烈的求知欲, 并渴望对纷繁复杂的社会现象有自己的见解, 在感到困惑时, 希望能在老师的点拨下获得理性的认识和提高。课前五分钟演讲就是一个舞台可以让学生以自己的视角去探知纷繁复杂的社会现象并展示独到的见解, 日积月累可以激发其学习知识的热情, 同时也体现了把理论和实际结合起来的教学原则。另外, 也丰富了一些同学的业余生活, 在活动举行以前, 有一部分同学在荼余饭后以及课外活动期间, 常常感到百无聊赖, 无事可做, 而活动开展以来, 他们的视野开阔了, 认为有做不完的事在等着他们。
4. 培养了学生合作学习、灵机应变的能力, 活跃了课堂气氛。
有时教学过程中, 教师可以指定或者限制演讲的话题, 如对假冒伪劣说不、钱是万恶之源吗、班级选举与民主、关于提高水价、高中文理分不分科等等话题, 要求学生以学习小组为单位, 共同来收集各方信息, 这个过程能够很好地培养学生的合作学习、协作精神。而课堂上, 还鼓励其他同学对演讲的同学的观点及时质疑、补充、评点, 于是在这个时间捕捉思维火花, 思维亮点频闪, 思维调度迅捷, 思维碰撞, 智慧大比拼, 精彩激烈。
当然, 课前五分钟演讲只是提高课堂效率一种尝试, 是学生进行的一次研究性学习, 但是它给学生的能力培养和锻炼远远多于研究性学习, 对这一教学环节的使用和挖掘, 无论对教师还是对学生, 或者是对新课程改革都有重要的意义。只要我们持之以恒不断总结、提高和创新, 思想政治课一定会成为学生喜爱的兴趣课。
摘要:在新课程理念指导下, 我们需要不断地探索新的教学方式, 充分调动学生的学习兴趣。面对学科受轻视, 笔者通过课前五分钟演讲的尝试深刻地体会到:这种尝试培养了学生关心时政的习惯, 提高了学生的语言表达能力;提升了学生的学习兴趣, 增添了课程的趣味性, 时代性;提高了学生的观察与分析问题的能力, 开阔了眼界, 丰富了学生们的业余生活;培养了学生合作学习、灵机应变的能力, 活跃了课堂气氛。

“向四十五分钟要质量”这个口号提了很多年了,但又有多少落到了实处?很多时候我们并不是通过抓好课堂效率来提高教学质量,而是习惯花更多时间利用作业、考试来巩固教学效果。殊不知这种本末倒置的做法正是造成当下初中英语教学“重复低效”恶果的罪魁祸首。初中英语课堂“放手”五分钟是提高课堂效率的有效途径。
一、“放手”五分钟的意义
英语课程标准指出,基础教育阶段,英语课程的任务是激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣,帮助学生树立自信心,养成良好的学习习惯和形成有效的学习策略,发展自主学习的能力和合作精神……为了很好地掌控这“放手”的五分钟,课前负责的小组需要团队合作,确定活动形式,进行活动演练。为了更好地参与这五分钟,课上学生们全神贯注地倾听,不漏掉任何一个知识点甚至是单词,生怕因为自己的疏忽造成冷场。
二、如何“放手”五分钟
在这五分钟内,活动形式主要有两种:“我问你答”和“我讲你听”。
1.“我问你答”——巩固已学知识
问题如:a number of sth. 与the number of sth.有什么区别?句子翻译如:许多粉丝在机场等着科比,大约有两千个。提问句式多样,有一般疑问句、特殊疑问句,甚至还有反义疑问句。一个问题若干种问法。记得有学生对8A Unit 2的Reading进行提问,一组问:“When does Millie go to the Reading Club?”另一组问:“How often does Millie go to the Reading Club?”两组的提问各有千秋,回答就各有侧重。为了课上提出有价值的问题,各个小组讨论设计问题甚至演练,同时要接住其余小组的问题,唯有课后加强巩固,吃透篇章和知识点。组间的挑战竞争白热化,这样课上学习与课后巩固的连接水到渠成,大部分学生的语言表达能力、组织能力都得到了有效的提高。“我问你答”不是书面作业,学生没有负担感,反而觉得是一种挑战,胜似书面作业。
2.“我讲你听”——拓宽阅读视野
例如, 8A Unit 1 Friends第一课时,我安排了与friends有关的话题。一位女学生大方地走上讲台:“Today I will tell you a story of two good friends. After listening, please answer my questions...”值日生讲得声情并茂,学生们听得聚精会神,力求全面把握材料,用时约一分钟。接着,值日生提问:“Who were traveling together?...”学生们简单地记录问题,用时半分钟。接下来,带着问题再听一遍,从细节上把握材料,速记答案;在对文章基本把握的基础上,组织答案核对,并且评价值日生的表现,先肯定,再指出错误或提出建议,用时约两分钟。值日生通过“Were they really good friends? What qualities should a friend have?”引导全班同学讨论,在讨论总结的基础上,自然而然地过渡到新授:“Today, lets talk about friends.”整个过程大约五分钟,通过熟悉的材料导入新课,水到渠成。
三、“放手”五分钟的效果
1.激发并保持学生的兴趣
“放手”五分钟,以学生间的互动开始英语课堂,创设轻松愉快的学习氛围,消除学生过于紧张焦虑的情绪,唤醒学生的真实体验,激发学生后续学习的浓厚兴趣,从而提高了整节课的学习效率。
2.培养学生的思维能力
学生分别从整体和细节把握材料,培养了学生的思维能力。整体感知阶段涉及听,熟悉内容阶段涉及说,操练过程涉及读,拓展过程可能涉及写。经过一段时间的讲述训练以后,全班学生的英语口语水平有了明显的提高,而且學生对于原先考试中最惧怕的听力也逐渐不再害怕。
3.培养学生的健康人格
性格活泼、自信的学生学英语既快又好。刚接触英语,绝大部分学生属于这种类型,但随着难度加深以及受传统教育方式的约束,这种可贵的品质往往被不自信和拘束所替代。“放手”五分钟,营造出轻松愉快的气氛,消除了学生的紧张感。性格内向的学生通常会选择对话,当身边有伙伴时会减少孤立感,就能在一定程度上克服性格上的弱点,体会到成就感,进而建立自信心。
苏霍姆林斯基说:“教师如果不想方设法使学生产生情绪高昂和智力振奋的内心状态,就急于传授知识,那么这种知识只能使人产生冷漠的态度,而不动情感的脑力劳动,就会带来疲倦。”“放手”五分钟,以学生的自由活动开始课堂教学,使学生产生高昂的学习情绪,从而为英语学习带来动力。
