在写日记时，可能会碰到一些用英语表达不好的情况，这时可以查词典、查笔记，也可以把它空在那里或用汉语写在那儿、以后去请教同学或师长。久而久之，养成了一种用英语表达思想的习惯。这无论是对提高口语、写作，还是其他方面的技能都是一种非常有效的方法。
多听英文歌曲、多看英文电影：多听一些英语歌曲以及多看一些英文电影对提高英语的口语水平也有一定的帮助，不仅可以提高自己的听力水平，对英语的发音和扩充自己的词汇量和语句也有一定的帮助。
