现代教学理念倡导和实施以人为本的教育, 把学生的发展作为根本的出发点和力归宿。研究高中学生自我评价是一种以实现评价的综合功能为目的的评价, 它把促进学生的发展作为根本目的, 以促进学生发展为取向, 体现以人为本的思想, 强调评价的核心是学生在听力学习过程中的吸收与掌握, 强调自我评价对学生发展的作用。通过多种评价手段和方法, 学生对自己在英语听力学习过程中表现出的兴趣、态度、参与活动的程度, 对自己的语言发展状态做出判断, 对自己的成绩做出肯定, 以促进其学习积极性。因此, 课堂教学的改革与评价改革应同步进行, 现代教育观念下的评价应是面向未来的、发展的、动态的, 它注重学生参与学习的过程, 既有利于培养优秀学生的创新能力, 又能让学生在发现困难解决困难的过程中体验成功感和满足感, 从而提高和恢复学生学习的自信心。

在训练阶段, 两个班级使用相同的材料, 但教师使用不同的教学计划与教学方法。教师侧重培养一班学生的自我评价能力, 评价的内容为听之前的预测策略的使用, 而对于二班的学生则采用传统的教学方法。下面的例子是一个完整的训练过程。

教学材料:学生听对话, 并回答问题 (见附录B) 。

教学目标:使学生学会自我评价预测这个策略的使用情况。

教学过程:

(1) 让学生阅读给定的问题和选择, 然后去猜测材料的内容将会关于什么。

(2) 听录音, 并回答问题。

(3) 将一班的学生分成几个小组进行讨论, 讨论的问题如下:在听录音之前预测了哪些信息?为什么?又是如何使用猜测到的想法的?在这一步, 只是与二班学生核对答案。

(4) 让一班学生进行小组讨论预测策略使用的有效性, 二班学生则直接重新听错的比较多的对话。

新课程标准规定了学习策略为实现教育目标的重要策略之一。在学习英语的过程中, 对学生进行策略的训练, 具有举足轻重的作用, 能有效地促进学生自主独立地处理问题。因此, 自我评价在英语听力中的作用同样重要。

在听力的过程中, 学生应当集中注意力关注即时出现的相关难点, 以便在之后进行自我评价。比如说, 如果学生发现听力过程中出现了许多生词, 这就意味着他们需要扩大词汇量。显然, 一定量的词汇有助于理解说听的内容。以下方法可供学生参考:培养对文字和语言的兴趣, 在日常生活中有意识地记忆碰到的生词, 将生词拆成熟悉的短词等等。所有解决问题的方法可以通过学生在自我评价的过程中得出, 当然也可通过小组讨论。教师在进行分组的时候, 可以有意识地将基础好的学生和基础相对薄弱的学生分在一起。这样不仅可以互相帮助, 所有学生都有了进步的空间, 更可以促进学生个性化的发展。从设计听力材料到强调学生参与自我评价, 最终的目的就是引导学生在自我评价的过程中发现问题并找出解决问题的方法。学习在某种程度上是自主的过程, 但也需要加以引导和鼓励。教师应创造更多的机会给学生并唤起他们的学习兴趣。

一、自我评价的含义

自我评价是指人个自我观察后按照自我确定的行为标准试评判自己的行为。在英语教学中,自我评价的任务是:

1.整学习活动,根据具体的学习内容和学习要求,制订适合自己每阶段的学习目标及评价项目。

2.按照学习目标,强化学生自身的学习过程,明确是否已经达到阶级目标,存在问题及今后努力方向,从而调动其积极性,培养其信心,以起到强化学习活动的作用。

3.根据测试发现存在的问题,学生在学习中存在的薄弱部分:如语法,经过分析,找到产生错误的原因,向老师提供有效信息,同时为老师确立新单元似学习目标提供必要依据。

4.实施制定的学习策略,并及时求助于老师和同学,完成学习任务,发展认识能力。

二、自我评价的设计与内容

学生自我评价在英语教学中可以分为以下几种类型:

1.学习自评。让学生评价自己在每节课中完成学习目标的情况,培养学生学习的自觉性使学生学会自我监督、自我反思、自我提高、自我教育。

2.活动自评。让学生评价自己参与课堂活动与各种英语活动的情况,如英语角、英语演讲比赛、英语作文竞赛等,培养学生的参与意识,让学生学会合作、交流。

3.考试自评。让学生在每次考试后写出考后反思,评价自己在某一阶段的学习情况,肯定自己的成绩,找出存在问题分析原因,明确今后努力方向,以考促学,使学生通过每次考试都有提高。同时为老师下一阶段教学提供参考。

三、实施学生自我评价应注意的事项

1.以学生为主体变“要我学”为“我要学”。在开始,教师可以通过各种形式提供帮助,切忌越俎代庖,要把主要工作交给学生去完成,依靠学生自己进行,充分发挥学生的主观能动性,使其在评价过程中获取学习英语的成功感和继续进步的力量。

(一) 增强学生的自我评价意识

评价他人的生活,古已有之。一间茶馆,三两闲人,茶余饭后聊聊身边七大姑八大婶的生活,是市井常态。如此评价若扩散开去,或以文字的形式被记录下来,可使嘉言懿行者传为佳话,流芳百世;为非作歹者遭人唾弃,遗臭万年。这种评价不可否认地起着社会舆论监督之功用,是用语言的力量惩恶扬善,从而善可为法,恶可为戒,培养出整个社会的一身正气。

然而并不是所有评价都有这样的价值。正如《师说》中所记述的:“曰师曰弟子云者,则群聚而笑之。”正是这样看似微不足道的举动,一点一点的累积,终致师道之不复,呜呼悲哉!人言可畏,一句轻浮随意的讥讽就足以扼杀一颗求是求真的心。常言道,真理往往掌握在少数人手中,理固宜然。我们并没有评价他人生活的资格。

庄子的寓言同样极有意蕴。子非鱼,安知鱼之乐?子非我,安知我不知鱼之乐?生活本就是如人饮水冷暖自知的事。众人所眼见的生活只是粗糙表象,也大都类似,无非是日复一日的柴米油盐酱醋茶。而那些琴棋书画诗酒花,狷介的书生意气与情怀,细微如针尖的情感体验,唯有自己独处时方可默然咀嚼,于寂静处生欢喜,于无声处听见惊雷。

反观那些对他人的评价,大多是以己度人,一切从自身角度出发,预设立场去评判他人的生活,其中不乏主观臆断的成分。而不同的人有不同的评价准则,一千个人眼中有一千个哈姆莱特,难以论断谁是谁非。况且人非圣贤,不可能做到绝对的公正,每个人都或多或少戴着隐形的有色眼镜而不自知。最典型的便是那些网络戾气的生产者——键盘侠们,常常“义愤填膺”地群起而攻,躲在群体的大盾之中,片面化地人云亦云,大肆发表偏激观点。评价者个人理性缺失,全凭一时任性,日积月累,何有真正的、完整的“自我”?

评价他人者,需理性。同样,面对他人的评价,要坚信,人生而自由。在不违背道德、触犯法律的前提下,每个人都有自由选择自己生活方式的权利。对于他人理性的评价可加以思量,反省自身,而对于那些不负责任,甚至恶毒的、不怀好意的评价,则没必要抛却自由,将自己的生活囿于“他人”的目光中。
