1 对象与方法

1.1 调查对象

以云南省大理学院大一学生为调查对象, 共发放问卷352, 回收345份, 有效问卷330份。

1.2 研究工具

采用陈英仁[1]编制的《大学生英文阅读自我调整学习策略量表》, 该量表由86个题项组成, 包括5个分量表:动机信念量表、意志控制策略量表、环境利用与控制策略量表、英文阅读策略量表、自我调整策略量表。总量表的Cronbachα系数为0.97, 各层面的内部一致性信度系数在0.80~0.94之间。

1.3 统计分析

所有数据均用SPSS15.0统计软包和Microsoft Office Excel 2003处理。计量资料用“均数士标准差 (±SD) ”表示。

2 结果与分析

2.1 我校大一新生英文阅读自我调整学习策略总体情况

我校大一学生英文阅读自我调整学习策略在总量表及各分量表上的得分见表1。

2.2 我校大一新生英文阅读自我调整学习策略的人口社会学变量差异检验

2.2.1

性别差异检验对大一新生英文阅读自我调整学习策略量表在男女性别上的得分进行独立样本t检验, 分析结果发现性别在总量表及各分量表上都无显著差异。

2.2.2

省份差异检验对大一新生英文阅读自我调整学习策略量表在云南省和外省上的得分进行独立样本t检验, 结果发现省份在总量表及各分量表上都无显著差异。

2.2.3 CET-4通过率差异检验

对大一新生英文阅读自我调整学习策略量表CET-4通过率和未通过率上的得分进行独立样本t检验, 结果发现CET-4通过率在总量表及学习动机信念部分、意志控制策略部分、英文阅读部分、自我调整部分上差异显著, 都显示通过英语4级的大学生英文阅读自我调整学习策略明显优于未通过4级者。而在环境利用与控制部分无显著差异。结果见表2。

注:**代表p<0.01, 表示有显著性差异, *代表p<0.05, 表示有差异。

3 讨论

3.1 我校大一新生英文阅读自我调整学习策略的特点及原因分析

按照台湾常模计算出来的我校大一新生英文阅读自我调整学习策略在百分等级15级以下的有15人, 说明有4.5%的人倾向在特定学习领域中, 比较无法运用包含动机策略、认知策略、意志控制及环境利用与控制策略, 来调整自己在行为、情感与周围环境不合适之处, 以达到理想的学习目标。这部分学生, 可能学习的主动性不高, 习惯于在老师的指导下学习, 学习的自主性不够, 因此, 对这部分学生, 应首先调动他们的学习积极性, 然后再传授学习策略。百分等级85及以上者有87人, 占26.4%, 说明这些人倾向在特定学习领域中, 能够运用包含动机策略、认知策略、意志控制及环境利用与控制策略, 调整自己的行为、情感与周围环境并主动建构知识, 以达成理想的学习目标。这部分学生已能较好进行自我调整学习, 只需要对部分学习策略进行调整, 优化学习策略。而对其他学生, 则需要着重进行学习策略的辅导, 使这些学生能逐步掌握自我调整学习策略, 进行主动学习。

研究结果发现CET-4通过率在总量表及学习动机信念部分、意志控制策略部分、英文阅读部分、自我调整部分上有差异, 尤其是在学习动机信念部分差异非常显著, 都显示通过英语4级的大学生英文阅读自我调整学习明显优于未通过4级者。在CET-4考试中, 英语阅读占了三分之一左右的比例, 是CET-4能否通过的关键因素。由此, 可以看出英文阅读自我调整策略影响着英语成绩。

对大一新生英文阅读自我调整学习策略各专业的分析结果发现, 专业在意志控制策略部分和环境利用与控制部分上差异显著, 在总量表及其他分量表上无显著差异。同时家庭省份、民族在英文阅读策略上无差异, 我们认为与东西部经济文化发展差距缩小, 英语教学开展均较早有关。

本研究未发现性别在英文阅读自我调整学习策略上的差异, 这与陈英仁[1]的研究结果不一致。究其原因我们认为虽然被调查者中理工科专业以男生居多, 文科和医学类以女生居多, 但目前全校的外语教学均由外语学院统一实施, 任课教师在外语教学上有着统一的大纲和规范, 授课教师在阅读策略的讲授上日趋成熟有关。

3.2 对大学生英文阅读学习的建议

本研究发现英文阅读自我调整学习策略对CET-4通过率有影响, 因此应加强对英文阅读自我调整学习策略的认识, 尤其是学习动机信念对英文成绩的提高上具有重要作用。在阅读中, 阅读策略的运用不仅是可行的, 而且能有效地激发学生的阅读动机, 提高阅读成绩, 阅读策略的运用能使阅读事半功倍[2]。因此, 在课堂教学中分步骤地、有效地、反复地进行阅读策略的培训很有必要[3]。

教师在阅读策略训练中是一个重要角色[4]。为了进一步提高学生的英语阅读学习动机, 教师要尽量在教学选材中多加入英语国家的文化、风情等内容, 把英语国家优秀的文化介绍给学生, 拓宽学生的文化视野, 通过阅读, 把语言和文化有机地融合起来, 使更多的学习动机从“工具型”转变为“融合型”, 那么学生的英语学习将从任务变成乐趣, 学习成效将有巨大的变化[5]。另外, 也可以使用多媒体课件辅助教学。多媒体课件辅助英语阅读教学在激发学习者兴趣、学习动机、自主学习、有意义的学习及合作性学习等方面有着独特的优势[6]。
