People celebrate the holiday according to their beliefs and their religious denominations. Christians commemorate Good Friday as the day that Jesus Christ died and Easter Sunday as the day that He was resurrected. Protestant settlers brought the custom of a sunrise service, a religious gathering at dawn, to the United States.
On Easter Sunday children wake up to find that the Easter Bunny has left them baskets of candy. He has also hidden the eggs that they decorated earlier that week. Since its conception as a holy celebration in the second century, Easter has had its non-religious side. In fact, Easter was originally a pagan festival.

我们画好了之后，就各自把彩蛋藏好，然后开始找了。我先去书房，因为我觉得爸爸肯定会把彩蛋藏在书房，我翻开几本书，一看，爸爸的彩蛋就在书桌上。很快，姐姐的彩蛋被爸爸找到了，而妈妈也找到了姐姐藏好的彩蛋，而姐姐找到了我的彩蛋。
盼望已久的复活节终于到来啦，学校举办的复活节特色活动也如期举行啦。对于这个媳妇的节日，起初我并不知道含义，活动一开场，五a班的同学就用生动形象的电子课件向我们展示：复活节原本是个宗教节日，是基督教纪念耶稣复活的节日。
之后，一系列“迎接春天的到来”为题的舞台剧一一上演，外教mike老师又带领学生围成一圈，让孩子们想象春天里各种动物出来活动的情形，用拍手、蹬脚、敲打、学鸟叫等方式串连成欢快美妙的音乐节奏，把大家带入到生机盎然的春天。
