广东中考英语听力材料 篇2

目前, 广东省东莞市实施中考英语口语测试已有4年, 该测试对本市的初中英语教学起到了怎样的反拨作用?是积极的作用还是消极的作用?这是非常值得研究的问题。作为教学第一线的教师, 笔者认为有必要对此作一番研究、总结, 以期使反拨作用更好地服务于英语口语教学实践。

一、广东省东莞市中考口语测试介绍

(一) 中考口语测试的设计原则

广东省东莞市中考英语口语测试的设计原则是以信息为纲;提供真实的交际情景;创造真实的交际语境;体现语言交际的交互性。

(二) 中考口语测试的形式和要求

中考口语测试由朗读短文、情景对话、回答问题和看图说话四个部分组成, 其考试形式和要求如下 (见表1) 。

中考口语考试评分以定性为主, 根据所制订的评分细则由考官综合评判考生是否能有效、得体地使用语言完成所规定的交际任务。评分具有高信度, 考试有电脑录音, 评分受考官主观判断的影响不大, 考官可以重复听录音并正确地评分。

二、口语测试反拨作用的调查设计

(一) 调查目的

本调查旨在弄清初中英语口语考试的反拨作用在英语教师、学生和初中英语课堂口语教学这三方面的表现形式。

(二) 调查的问题

1. 初中英语教师对中考英语口语测试有怎样的态度和看法?

2. 初中学生怎样进行口语练习和他们对中考英语口语测试有怎样的态度和看法?

3. 初中英语课堂怎样开展口语教学?

(三) 调查的时间

2007年9月至2008年3月。

(四) 调查对象

广东省东莞市石龙第二中学初中三个年级21名教师和220名初中学生。

(五) 调查工具

本次调查使用的测量工具包括问卷 (见表2和表3) 、听课记录表和个别访谈表。问卷和个别访谈表的问题涉及教师和学生对中考口语测试的态度和看法、教师的教学内容和方法及学生的学习内容和方法。听课记录表的指标有听课时间、课堂口语活动时间、课堂听力练习时间等。

(六) 调查步骤

1. 笔者分别对220名学生进行问卷调查。

调查内容包括询问他们的口语练习习惯, 主要是调查他们是否掌握口语训练的方法、是否可以有意识地提高自己的口语水平以及他们对口语测试的态度和看法。

2. 随机到初中口语课堂进行课堂观察, 着重观察教

学内容及方法, 教师与学生是否意识到运用口语测试的特点来组织口语教学的内容和方法。

3. 对21名初中教师和20名学生分别进行个别访谈。访谈内容主要是他们对口语测试的态度和看法。

(七) 数据分析

本次调查的所有数据在2008年3月底前收集完毕。笔者对这些数据进行相应的处理:问卷收回编号;封闭式问题画线生成选项频数;用计算器算出频率并输入电脑等;同时, 用Microsoft Excel得出频数和频率的总和;用SPSS算出均值和标准差;对开放式问题的答案进行整理、归类和概括并把听课的录音整理出文字并进行分析。

三、口语测试反拨作用的调查结果

(一) 问卷调查的结果

1. 师生对中考英语口语测试的态度和看法

在问卷调查中, 我们了解了学生参加中考英语口语测试的主要动机。结果显示81.6%的学生是为了顺利通过高中入学考试;只有18.4%的学生是为了提高自己的英语口语交际能力。

关于实施口语测试的必要性, 调查表明82.8%的学生和98%的教师均认为很有必要或较有必要在初中阶段实施口语考试。由此可见, 学生对中考英语口语测试普遍持欢迎态度。

关于中考英语口语测试可能产生的对教学的反拨作用以及考试的发展方向, 问卷调查显示, 97%的教师认为考试会对初中英语教学产生重大影响, 有利于加强素质教育, 使英语教学更侧重于培养学生实际使用英语的能力;81.4%的学生和93%的教师认为应该增加中考英语口语考试在中考中所占的比例, 可以考虑增加到20%, 以使教师和学生更加重视英语口语交际能力。

2. 教师对中考英语口语测试各方面的评价

对中考英语口语测试各方面的评价, 问卷调查的结果表明:79.8%的学生和94%的教师认为试卷和考试方法的设计很好, 能在很大或较大程度上客观、真实地反映考生的口语交际能力。

对于考试的各个部分, 笔者在调查时主要关注的是教师的看法。对于朗读短文部分, 77.4%的教师认为该部分可以很好或较好地起到“热身”的作用;对回答问题部分, 81.5%的教师认为该部分可以考核学生参与交际的能力;对看图说话部分, 85.5%的教师认为该部分可以考核学生综合运用英语的能力。

3. 关于学生开展口语活动的调查结果

调查结果表明, 在实施中考英语口语测试之后, 学生普遍比以前更加重视口语学习。但是, 非毕业班的学生比毕业班学生用英语与同学或教师进行口语交流更频繁, 更愿意利用课余时间参加英语角活动并喜欢用英语上网聊天, 更频繁地独自一人或寻找伙伴练习口语, 参加口语活动也较频繁, 而初三学生参加口语活动的频率相对减少。

4. 关于教师组织学生开展口语活动的调查结果

调查结果表明, 非毕业班教师在课堂上开展口语活动较频繁, 而毕业班的教师在课堂上较少地开展口语活动;非毕业班和毕业班的教师都经常要求学生在课外参加口语活动;非毕业班和毕业班的教师都经常要求学生独自一人或找一个伙伴练习英语口语。由此可见, 初中英语教师均比较重视提高学生的口语交际能力, 但是毕业班的教师课堂上较少开展口语活动。

(二) 课堂观察的结果

课堂观察的结果表明, 所观察的每个班都很重视听力和口语练习, 口语的活动形式有值日报告、角色表演、口头陈述等;中考英语口语测试对初中英语教学产生了积极的反拨作用。但值得注意的是, 跟问卷调查的结果类似, 初三课堂口语活动时间明显地减少了, 听力活动的时间增加了。由此可见, 到了初三阶段, 英语课堂教学主要还是为了应付中考的听力和笔试部分 (见表4) 。

(三) 个别访谈的结果

笔者还对21名教师和20名学生分别进行了个别访谈, 访谈的结果跟问卷调查及课堂观察的结果类似。初一、初二的教师和学生都认为学好英语不仅需要读、听、写, 更需要开口说英语。初三的教师和学生则表示因为中考英语口语测试在中考英语中占的比例太少, 没有引起教师和学生足够的重视, 迫于中考的实际, 他们只能将课堂上有限的时间分析大量的笔试题目, 而减少口语活动的时间, 甚至有的学生学习英语只局限于掌握一些语法知识和一定的词汇量应付“多项选择题”这样的考试题型。

四、结语

(一) 增加中考英语口语考试在中考中所占的比例

《全日制义务教育普通高级中学英语课程标准 (实验稿) 》明确指出, 语言教学的最终目标是培养学生以书面或口语进行交际的能力。[2]而且, 随着我国同世界的交流越来越广泛, 学生将来要用英语走向世界, 参与国际合作和交流, 必须具有较强口语能力。因此, 笔者认为, 应该增加中考英语口语考试在中考中所占的比例, 促使教师与学生更加重视英语口语交际能力的教学。

(二) 培养学生掌握高效率的学习方法

教师不可能教授给学生所有的语言知识 (教师自己也不可能懂得所有的知识) 。但是教师可以教给学生科学的学习方法, 培养他们正确的学习态度和学习策略, 帮助他们了解和掌握英语学习规律, 使他们通过实践学会高效率地自学。这不但对他们目前的学习有益, 而且会使他们终身受益。

(三) 加强实践教学

英语教师应尽可能地为学生创造良好的语言交流环境, 鼓励他们大胆地说英语。在课堂上, 教师可以组织学生开展形式多样、内容丰富的活动, 如两人练习、小组竞赛、角色扮演、讲小故事等;在课外, 可以鼓励和组织他们积极参加课外活动, 如英语角、英文歌唱比赛、英语朗诵比赛、短剧表演等。

(四) 加强文化导入

在学生的日常口语学习和交流中, 常会出现以下语言错误:很多时候学生说出的英语只有本国人才听得懂, 如当别人道谢之后, 很多学生会回答“Never mind”, 或一见面就问别人“Where are you going?”造成这种错误的原因不是学生没有学会正确的语言语法规则, 而是由于他们缺少英语语言文化背景知识。因此, 在英语教学中, 教师除了传授学生语言基础知识之外, 还应有意识地让他们了解各种社会文化环境对语言使用的影响以及学习各种跨文化交际策略, 即懂得何种情况下使用何种形式的语言和语体, 加强对他们的文化导入。
