经过长期的课堂实践以及思考探索, 特总结相关内容如下:

一课前演讲的准备活动

1. 题目与内容

关于演讲的题目与内容, 采取提前一周通知的原则, 大家可以在周末的时间充分准备, 还可以配备PPT以及视频音乐等辅助工具, 目的都是为了达到更好的演讲效果, 不仅演讲者在现场可以流畅表达, 听众也会享受听取的内容。

其次, 演讲内容可以涉及军事、家庭、体育、旅游、生活、政治等等, 也可以根据正在学习的英语教材进行编排。例如, 在9A英语教材中, 第一单元是关于侦探破案采访的文章, 同学们可以在课后进行讨论, 找到自己喜欢的侦探文章或者是讨论自己以后喜欢的职业, 也可以讨论该职业的优点和缺点。此外, 如果学生对于书本内容不感兴趣, 也可以选择他们喜欢的话题进行安排, 可以采取老师安排或者学生投票的方式选取。在实践教学中, 学生们比较感兴趣的课外话题主要是国外生活以及明星娱乐, 在课堂上, 他们准备了偶像的歌曲, 或者是西方的美食图片, 喜爱之意与满足之情全都写在了脸上。

由演讲者点名其他同学上台演讲, 这是一种比较灵活且效果相当好的方法。虽然未有充足的准备, 但是普及面广, 且参与性与活跃程度较高。例如, 在讲解9B Family lives, 可以随意进行课堂演讲, 老师挑中一名学生, 表达数句后, 可以再如击鼓传花式继续演讲, 让每名同学都有表演的机会, 站在讲台前, 分享自己的家庭生活, 讲述自己的父母对自己的关爱等。

1. 优点

课前演讲不仅训练了同学们的英语口头表达能力, 增强了记忆, 锻炼了大家的胆识, 而且对于同学们养成良好的学习习惯, 树立起自立、自尊, 培养正确的人生观, 都有重要的作用。通过展现, 很多同学对英语学习产生了兴趣。演讲过的内容, 同学们大都记忆深刻、受益匪浅。同时, 同学们说话时的体态表情、手势也自然大方, 情绪高涨, 脸上充满笑容;不仅如此, 学生的PPT制作水平也得到了提高。

2. 不足

课前演讲也存在一定的问题, 有时会出现流于形式, 老师忽略其本质的后果, 而且还会花费老师大量的时间对学生的成果进行检查与更正。对于学生来说, 有时他们也像交差一样, 有时候不做准备, 没有真正地用心投入, 因此, 如何更好地提高它的实效性仍是需要解决的问题。

如:教学苏教版八下《变色龙》时, 可以让学生根据对课文内容的初步理解, 指出题目中概括警官奥楚蔑洛夫处理“狗咬人”案件的显著特点———“变”, 再找出奥楚蔑洛夫处理案件态度有几次变化, 并说出变化的原因。这个过程既整理了小说情节, 又让学生体会到了这个人物的性格特征———见风使舵、趋炎附势、媚上欺下, 这是不变的。

比较的方法是人们辨别事物特征的一种重要方法, 我们对有些课文不妨引导学生给课文重新换个题目, 帮助学生通过理解课文, 形成自己独特的感悟。

猜测词义题意在考查学生通过阅读原文并能依据原文的语境、上下文的连贯性来推测题中所考查的词、短语以及句子大意的综合能力。要求考生能读懂书、报、杂志中关于一般性话题的简短文章以及公告、说明、广告等,并能从中获取相关信息,根据上下文推断生词意义。

一、猜测词义类题目常见的设问方式

1. The word “…”refers to / probably means_____.

2. The underlined word “…” could best be replaced by_____.

3. The concept of “…” is applied to_____.

4. Which of the following is the closest in meaning to “…”

5. “…”as used in the passage can be best defined as_______.

二、猜测词义的方法

1.利用构词法知识猜测词义。

构词法有:(1)转化法(2)合成法(3)派生法

如果一个生词由两个熟悉的单词合起来得到一个新词——合成词或者是由一个词根加前缀或后缀构成一个新词——派生词,那么我们就可以利用原有词的意思来推测新词的意思。例如:act作动词是:表演、扮演、行动等意思。作为词根也可组成不同意思的词,如下:

后缀:actor男演员;actress女演员;active积极的、活跃的; actively积极地、活跃地; activity活动、活跃、活力;activist积极分子、活跃分子; action行动、行为; actual实际的、事实上的; actually实际上

前缀:exact确切的;exactly 确切地;exactness精密、精确

这个词看似简单,但在给它一个前缀和后缀后,可以派生出很多词,并且可以由act的意思去猜测这些派生词的词义。

2.利用同位语猜测词义。常见同位语的词语有or,like, similarly,that is, in other words,that is to say,namely等,或以括号,逗号或破折号的形式出现,或直接在该词后有相关解释。

例如:The problems, where we are going and how to go, are still unsolved.

分析:这个句子的主干“The problems are still unsolved.”,两个“,”之间的成份是同位语,来解释还没有解决的问题是什么问题:我们将去哪儿以及如何去的问题。

3.依据定语从句猜测词义。在所需猜测词后常跟定语从句修饰或解释说明,通过分析这一修饰或解释部分,考生可理解该词基本含义。线索词有who, that,which , is 等。

例如:(2013课标II,C)And forchocolate snobs, who think that they have a better knowledge of chocolate than others.

分析:根据后面定语从句“他们认为自己比别人更了解巧克力”可猜出划线词意思为“对巧克力很挑剔的人”。

4.运用所给例子来猜测词义。某些不常用的生僻词,作者通常会在这个词的后面举一个例子,读者就会理解这个生僻词的。常见词有for instance, such as ,for example 等。

6.利用对比词语猜测词义。阅读中作者运用对比的手法,用反义词,也可以暗示出生词的含义。常见词如下:different from this, conversely, but on the other side , not only…but also, yet, nevertheless, rather than, but等。除此外,分号也可表示对比。

7.运用代词指代猜测词义。判断代词的类型,阅读前句,找出句中相应名词,如该名词符合逻辑关系,则为划线代词所替代内容。

通过探究、归纳以上做题方法,不仅弥补了学生解题方法的不足,而且提高了解题的正确率,同时增进了对英语的喜爱。
